Conservative artist Jon McNaughton is the gift that keeps on giving.
McNaughton’s works have drawn considerable attention online — from pro-Trump conservatives, and yes, even the art world.
McNaughton is known for fawning depictions of Donald Trump, other Republicans, and religious figures. He is also known for his outlandish paintings of former President Barack Obama and Democrats, who are often depicted conducting heinous acts like burning the US Constitution or excoriating Jesus Christ on the floor of the House of Representatives.
He has received high praise for his work from many Republican elected officials. His painting of the biblical figure Moses hangs inside the Louisiana Department of Justice Building. An edition of the same painting was the subject of an auction by South Carolina Rep. Jeff Duncan, a conservative Republican.
McNaughton’s most recent painting, titled “All-American Trump” shows Trump running for a touchdown, leaving many Democrats in his wake.
The painting shows Trump running for the touchdown, outrunning Cory Booker, Bill de Blasio, Joe Biden, Barack Obama, Bernie Sanders, Richard Blumenthal, Chuck Schumer, and Dick Durbin.
Let’s not forget Trump doesn’t exercise because he believes exercise uses up his body’s finite energy.
“He considers exercise misguided, arguing that a person, like a battery, is born with a finite amount of energy,” the New Yorker reported in 2017. And a biography of the president asserts:
After college, after Trump mostly gave up his personal athletic interests, he came to view time spent playing sports as time wasted. Trump believed the human body was like a battery, with a finite amount of energy, which exercise only depleted.
Of course, Twitter is having a field day:
No way a guy with bone spurs runs like that.

This has to be the most idiotic thing I’ve seen in about 20 years. Congratulations.

Revulsion, laughter, bewilderment – I don't think I've ever seen an image that could evoke some many emotions simultaneously. A bona fide tour de farce. https://t.co/ZnRIncpxS3 [13]
