On Sunday afternoon Donald Trump mocked newly-announced presidential candidate Sen. Amy Klobuchar for her open-air announcement rally that took place in a snowstorm and frigid temperatures.
And let’s just say…it was one of his dumbest tweets ever, and that’s saying something.
“Well, it happened again,” Trump wrote. “Amy Klobuchar announced that she is running for President, talking proudly of fighting global warming while standing in a virtual blizzard of snow, ice and freezing temperatures. Bad timing. By the end of her speech she looked like a Snowman(woman).”
Well, it happened again. Amy Klobuchar announced that she is running for President, talking proudly of fighting global warming while standing in a virtual blizzard of snow, ice and freezing temperatures. Bad timing. By the end of her speech she looked like a Snowman(woman)!

Klobuchar announced her candidacy on Sunday in Minneapolis. She laid out her vision for the country, and vowed to “put forth sweeping legislation to invest in green jobs and infrastructure” if elected president. She also declared that she would direct the U.S. to rejoin the Paris Climate Accord “on day one” of her administration.
Trump has frequently used chilly temperatures in a region for a period of time as a reason to question global warming.
In the beautiful Midwest, windchill temperatures are reaching minus 60 degrees, the coldest ever recorded. In coming days, expected to get even colder. People can’t last outside even for minutes. What the hell is going on with Global Waming? Please come back fast, we need you!

Be careful and try staying in your house. Large parts of the Country are suffering from tremendous amounts of snow and near record setting cold. Amazing how big this system is. Wouldn’t be bad to have a little of that good old fashioned Global Warming right now!

Twitter had a field day with Trump’s stupidity:
The stable genius is a master of willful ignorance https://t.co/RjUVxiQJds [4]

It's hard to combine ignorance and pettiness into one tweet so concisely. We are lucky, America! https://t.co/3bg0UxqLHi [6]

Yet again @POTUS [8] demonstrates his stupidity but not knowing the difference between weather and climate. Also, he thinks America is the whole World. Global does not mean America https://t.co/Sq2PYzrOfR [9]

Imagine being this dumb. And being elected president by people who are somehow even more dumb. https://t.co/jcjGpFok2l [11]

Climate change has long been predicted to cause more big snow storms.
For example, here's a portion of a 2009 report from the U.S. Global Change Research Program on National Climate Change talking about snow storms becoming "stronger and more frequent" pic.twitter.com/KW2PBeXxns [15]
