Trump Just Tweeted That People Are ‘Fleeing’ New York Because the State Is Harassing Him

Donald Trump slammed the state of New York and Governor Andrew Cuomo as the latest “PRESIDENTIAL HARASSERS” earlier this evening.

Trump’s tweet comes on the heels of New York Attorney General Letitia James issuing subpoenas to Deutsche Bank and Investors Bank over, per the New York Times, “records relating to the financing of four major Trump Organization projects and a failed effort to buy the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League in 2014.”

Trump also claims, without proof, that New Yorkers are “fleeing” the state because of presidential harassment.

“New York State and its Governor, Andrew Cuomo, are now proud members of the group of PRESIDENTIAL HARASSERS,” the president tweeted. “No wonder people are fleeing the State in record numbers. The Witch Hunt continues!”

While New York State’s probe into Trump is believed to be civil and not criminal, the new requests add to Trump’s legal headaches from federal, state and congressional probes into his administration, campaign and businesses.

The New York attorney general issued the subpoenas after former Trump personal attorney Michael Cohen testified to Congress that Trump inflated his assets in order to obtain loans from Deutsche Bank.
