Here Are 25 Of The Most Despicable Things Donald Trump Has Ever Done

They’re just sticks and stones, all those names that Trump calls people, right?

But what about the groping? The discrimination? Even the refusal to pay his contractors?

Trump’s disrespect for other people is sometimes horrible enough to be labeled, too.

Let’s call it contempt—and here’s why:

1. “Grab Them by the P***y”

Just weeks before Trump’s election, the release of a video displaying Trump’s disrespect for women impacted his campaign enough to make him apologize. He apologized for the video, although later he told friends he regretted his apology, and not his comments. In the video, Trump and Billy Bush were caught discussing their sexual conquests live while they were recording a feature for Access Hollywood. “I don’t even wait,” Trump said. “And when you’re a star, they let you do it, you can do anything … grab them by the pussy.”

2. Ex-Wife’s Violent Rape Accusation

Following a 1989 visit to a plastic surgeon to remove a bald spot, Trump attacked his wife Ivana because the surgery had been extremely painful. Ivana was the one who had recommended the plastic surgeon. In a sworn divorce deposition, Ivana said Trump pulled out clumps of her hair. Then he physically forced himself on her and afterword he casually asked if it hurt. “As a woman, I felt violated, as the love and tenderness which he normally exhibited toward me were absent,” Ivana said in October 2017. “I referred to this as rape, but I do not want my words to be interpreted in a literal or criminal sense.”

3. His Creepy Attitude toward His Daughter

Donald Trump is particularly proud of his first daughter, Ivanka, and her beauty—but sometimes it borders on indecency. On “The View,” Trump said he’d be disappointed if Ivanka appeared in Playboy Magazine, but then said “Although she does have a very nice figure. I’ve said that if Ivanka weren’t my daughter, perhaps I’d be dating her.” On “The Howard Stern Show,” Trump also called Ivanka a “piece of ass” and said “she’s actually always been very voluptuous … she’s tall, she’s almost 6 feet tall … she’s a real beauty.”

4. Called Mexicans Rapists

“Druggies, drug dealers, rapists and killers are coming across the southern border,” Trump tweeted once. “When will the U.S. get smart and stop this travesty?”

Trump built his campaign largely on building a border wall to keep immigrants out of the U.S. In 2015, he started campaigning by calling Mexican immigrants rapists who are bringing crime and bringing drugs to the U.S.

5. Degraded Parents of Fallen Soldier

Losing a son is bad enough. Khizr Khan spoke about his son Humayun, who died in the Iraq War, during the Democratic National Convention in 2016. Khan’s wife, Ghazala, stood beside him but didn’t speak. Khan criticized Trump, who was then a candidate, saying Trump didn’t understand the constitution, and he offered him a copy. Trumps response? He said “Maybe [Ghazala] wasn’t allowed to say anything” because she is Muslim. Then he spun his comments in a tweet, saying the story was not about Khan or his son but about radical Islamic terrorists, and that America needed to get smart.

6. Cheated On Wife Ivana with Marla

In 1989, a newspaper took photos of Trump, his wife Ivana and his mistress, Marla Maples at a ski resort in Aspen, Colorado. Ivana said Maples confronted her there. “This young, blonde woman approached me out of the blue and said, ‘I’m Marla and I love your husband. Do you?’” Ivana said. Later, Maples was featured on the cover of the New Your Post with the claim that Trump was the “Best Sex I’ve Ever Had.”

7. Cheated on Melania with Stormy Daniels

In 2017, the Wall Street Journal discovered Trump’s attorney paid adult-film actress $130,000 to keep quiet about her year-long affair with Donald Trump. The affair started in 2006, one year after Trump married Melania and just four months after the birth of his third son, Barron. Following the Wall Street Journal’s announcement, Melania refused to ride in Trump’s motorcade and took a trip to Mar-a-Lago. And of course, Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen is going to prison because of that payment.

8. Called African Nations “Shitholes”

In January 2018, Trump referred to Haiti, El Salvador, and some parts of Africa as “shithole countries.” “Why are we having all these people from shithole countries here?” he asked during a White House meeting. Trump said he wanted more immigrants from countries like Norway, and when referring to Haitian immigrants, Trump said, “Why do we need more Haitians? Take them out.”

9. Attacked John McCain for Being A POW

“He’s not a war hero,” Donald Trump said to Iowa voters about fellow Republican Sen. John McCain in 2015. “I like people that weren’t captured. He’s a war hero because he was captured. I like people that weren’t captured.” During the Vietnam conflict, McCain was a prisoner of war. He was tortured and left with physical disabilities that will affect him for the rest of his life. Trump, on the other hand, never served in the military because he was able to get medical deferments for his bone spurs. He has never apologized to McCain, who passed away in August.

10. Mocking a Disabled Reporter

Trump mimicked a reporter who had the guts to stand up to him. Washington Post reporter Serge Kovaleski has a congenital joint condition that Trump made fun of when the reporter corrected him. Trump claimed that Kovaleski reported that there were thousands of Muslims in New York celebrating the September 11th attacks. Kovaleski replied that he didn’t remember anyone saying there were thousands “or even hundreds, of people celebrating.” Trump made fun of the reporter, mocking his condition. “Now, the poor guy — you ought to see the guy,” Trump said. “Uh, I don’t know what I said. I don’t remember.”

11. No Black People Allowed

In 1975, Trump agreed to take out ads telling minorities they weren’t welcome at his properties. In exchange, he didn’t have to admit to any wrongdoing. Before that consent agreement, he and his father, Fred, discriminated against black and Latino housing applicants. Rental supervisors were told not to rent to black people, to tell black and Latino applicants that the rent was twice as much as it actually was, and to mark applications from minorities with codes such as “No. 9” and “C” for colored.

12. Humiliated Arianna Huffington

Arianna Huffington, co-founder and editor-in-chief of The Huffington Post, divorced her former-congressman husband in 1997. He later revealed that he was gay. In 2012, Trump attacked Ariana Huffington through a tweet, saying she was “unattractive both inside and out. I fully understand why her former husband left her for a man-he made a good decision.”

13. Called Black People Lazy

Former Trump employee John R. O’Donnell wrote a book. In it, he claimed that Trump once talked about Jews and black people, describing the Jews as greedy and black people as lazy. “I’ve got black accountants at the Trump Castle and at Trump Plaza,” Trump reportedly said. “Black guys counting my money! I hate it. The only kind of people I want counting my money are short guys that wear yarmulkes every day. Those are the kind of people I want counting my money. No one else.” Trump went on to say that laziness is a trait in Blacks. “It really is, I believe that,” he said. “It’s not something they can control … Don’t you agree?”

14. Called Megyn Kelly A Bimbo And Hinted She Was On Her Period

“You’ve called women you don’t like fat pigs, dogs, slobs and disgusting animals,” Megyn Kelly told Trump during the Republican presidential primary debates. Trump responded to this on CNN by hinting she was on her period. “There was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever,” he said. Trump also called Kelly a “bimbo” on several occasions. Once he tweeted it using his “I won’t because it’s not politically correct” remarks.

15. Stripped Health Insurance from His Infant Nephew with Cerebral Palsy

Donald Trump’s father died in 1999. According to his will, the estate was to be divided among all his children except the descendants of his deceased son, Fred Trump Jr., who had died of alcoholism. When the children of Fred Trump Jr. sued, Donald Trump retaliated by withdrawing medical benefits that were needed by his infant great-nephew, who had cerebral palsy. “I was angry because they sued,” he said.

16. Claimed Obama Was Kenyan-born Muslim

Trump questioned former President Barack Obama’s right to hold the presidency when he accused Obama of being born in Kenya. In 2011, Trump challenged the authenticity of Obama’s Hawaii birth certificate, which led Obama to release his official, long-form birth certificate. In late 2016, Trump finally said, “President Barack Obama was born in the United States, period.”

17. Hates Fat Women

Fat-shaming seems to be part of Trump’s approach to women. In the past, he’s fat-shamed celebrities including Rosie O’Donnell, Kim Kardashian, and Jennifer Lopez. It’s extended to some of his business associates, Miss Universe and Miss America contestants, too. Miss Universe Alicia Machado was often the brunt of his jokes. “She weighed 118 pounds or 117 pounds and she went up to 160 or 170, so this is somebody that likes to eat,” he said. The fat shaming isn’t limited to women, though. In a campaign speech, he told former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie “You’re not eating Oreos anymore. No more Oreos.”

18. Neglected Daughter, Tiffany Trump

Trump told Howard Stern that he was glad that he and Marla Maples had his daughter, Tiffany, but he didn’t show it when he first found out his wife was pregnant. “Excuse me, what happened?” he said, and “Well, what are we going to do about this?” He told Stern that his wife was shocked and said “Are you serious? It’s the most beautiful day of our lives.” Trump has also never focused on Tiffany, reserving his affection instead for his first daughter, Ivanka.

19. Physically Abused His Son

Don Jr. liked to party. In college, he earned the nickname “Diaper Don” because of his partying habits. The nickname and his preference for casual clothes didn’t please Trump at all. One time, Don Jr. opened the door to his father while wearing a Yankees jersey. A dorm neighbor said that Trump hit Don Jr. hard enough to knock him to the floor in front of all his classmates, because he expected him to dress more formally. “Put on a suit and meet me outside,” Trump said. (They were going to a baseball game.)

20. Rosie “Is a Fat Pig”

In 2006, Rosie criticized Trump for not firing Miss USA Tara Connor for drug use. It’s been war between them ever since, and it’s been hate-filled enough that he brought her up during two presidential debates. Trump has called her several names over the years, including fat, crude obnoxious, dumb, talentless, a total train wreck, and a loser—and he doesn’t hide how he feels about her. During a Republican presidential debate, Megyn Kelly called Trump out because of his mistreatment of women. In response, Trump said, “Only Rosie O’Donnell.”

21. Trump’s Charlottesville Response

A woman was killed when the 2017 Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia became a riot. Instead of condemning the white supremacists who were involved, Trump said there was violence “on both sides.” At a press conference a few days later, he hinted that liberals were to blame because they came “charging in without a permit” while Unite the Right activists had a permit to protest the removal of a Robert E. Lee statue. After saying that the far-right protesters were “some very fine people,” he defended himself in an interview with Megyn Kelly by saying “Not the most horrible thing. Over your life, Megyn, you’ve been called a lot worse. Wouldn’t you say?”

22. Finds Nursing Moms Disgusting

During a deposition in a real estate case, attorney Elizabeth Beck asked for a break so she could pump breast milk for her daughter, who was then 3 months-old. She took out a breast pump. Trump said, “You’re disgusting.” Then he reportedly left the room and refused to testify for the rest of the day.

23. He Enjoys Being Vindictive

That name calling. This time Lindsey Graham, one of 16 candidates running for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination, started it. He called Trump a “jackass.” Trump retaliated, calling Graham a “lightweight” and an “idiot”—and then he gave out Graham’s phone number while on “Fox and Friends” and urged his supporters to try it. Graham eventually got a new phone, and for some reason, Graham is now one of the biggest Trump sycophants in Washington, DC. Go figure.

24. Didn’t Pay Contractors

Trump has a habit of not paying the contractors who work for him when he develops real estate. Many of those contractors have gone out of business. When Trump’s Taj Mahal, the most expensive casino ever built in Atlantic City, filed for bankruptcy in 1991, contractors like Forest Jenkins received as little as 30 cents on the dollar and lost their businesses. Since Trump took office, more contractors have said they weren’t paid for their work on the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C.—Trump’s most recent project.

25. Joked About Receiving the Purple Heart

A retired lieutenant colonel gave Trump his Purple Heart award at a rally in Ashburn, Virginia in 2016. “I said to him, ‘Is that like the real one, or is that a copy?” Trump said. “And I said, ‘Man, that’s like big stuff. I always wanted to get the Purple Heart. This was much easier.” Trump dodged the Vietnam War draft five times.
