Ivanka Facing Backlash for Playing Basketball in Stiletto Heels, ‘This is Ridiculous … Pure Personal PR’
Playing sports is hard enough when you’re wearing gym clothes and sneakers, but Ivanka Trump played basketball in high heels during a trip to Des Moines, Iowa last week, and she hardly broke a sweat.
Ivanka took a tour of Hy-Vee’s Helpful Smiles Technology Center as part of her Iowa trip.
Hy-Vee is one of the companies to sign the commitment to Pledge to America’s Workers and has created 2,500 opportunities since signing on. The mother of three was joined at Hy-Vee by Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds and Secretary of Health & Human Services Alex Azar.
The University of Pennsylvania alum also had the chance to play basketball with Azar — and she did so clad in the stiletto heels. Ivanka shared an image of herself shooting hoops on the Des Moines Register newspaper cover. She poked some fun of herself, writing: “Spoiler: I missed the 3 pointer! Will work on my range!”

As you would expect, Twitter had some thoughts:
Ya because in her lifetime she’s spent all of 2 minutes with a basketball or doing anything that might mess up her $500 manicure. Lol.
She in no way relates to anyone that makes less than 1 million a week.

Can we stop normalizing this?
Nothing cute here. There is zero reasons taxpayers need to send the unqualified daughter on these Trump branding trips that accomplish nothing.

Reporters: We've got some cool photo ops
Ivanka: Here I am! Here I am!
Reporters: There are also some serious issues for which we'd like a comment

As a so-called "senior adviser" to her daddy/POTUS, I'd rather see Ivanka visiting the camps and detention centers to see for herself the cruelty and suffering caused by her father's family separation and detention policies, then see her having the integrity to resign in protest.

Ivanka is wearing heels on a basketball court. Why are the taxpayers paying for Ivanka to promote herself. Why doesn't the administration have any qualified people?

As a basketball fan, I was almost hoping Ivanka would give me a reason to like her. But homegirl showed up to the court in a dress and high heels?
That's just blasphemy.
