Melania Trump wore a white sundress and bright pink stilettos for the Fourth of July’s “Salute to America” celebration at the Lincoln Memorial.
In the late afternoon, the first couple appeared at the “Salute to America” event at the Lincoln Memorial — which the president had promised to be “The show of a lifetime” — looking thrilled. The first lady wore a white dress with multi-colored stripes and asymmetrical sleeves, along with fuchsia heels.
“As we gather this evening, in the joy of freedom, we remember that all share a truly extraordinary heritage. Together we are part of one of the greatest stories ever told, the story of America,” President Trump said.
Earlier, the administration kicked off the holiday with a National Independence Day Parade on Constitution Avenue in Washington, D.C., and a speech from Vice-President Mike Pence at the National Archives to welcome 44 new U.S. citizens from 24 countries, according to CBS News.
But as you well know by now, it rained all day in Washington DC, and by the look of Melania’s, uh, chest, is looks like she got a little wet.
Twitter had some thoughts:
Our POTUS knows how to rely on good product placement with his women:
They knew they would be in the rain.
No woman would wear all white like Melania did, unless intending an imitation of wet T-shirt night.
Her kidneys did look fantastic. https://t.co/d5mop3idi9

Melania must think July 4th is a big old wet t-shirt contest.

With all due respect, Melania might be the first woman to wear a wet t-shirt while everyone requests she put a brassiere ON.
It’s just not First Ladylike. Almost as bad as not wearing sleeves. 🙄 pic.twitter.com/xbcnQXbfRE

It's the annual first lady wet t-shirt contest! Next year expect the White House staff mud wrestling event between Melania and the Mudslinger and daddy's little dirty girl.
