Wall Street Journal Op-Ed Calls For Michelle Obama to Defend Melania, ‘She Speaks 6 Languages!’

Just when you thought you heard it all.

A new op-ed in the Wall Street Journal calls for former First Lady Michelle Obama to come to the defense for current “First Lady” Melania Trump.

Conservative pundit Douglas MacKinnon wrote about the tweet that Obama sent last week, a response to Donald Trump’s racist attack against 4 congresswomen of color.

Mrs. Obama tweeted, “What truly makes our country great is its diversity. I’ve seen that beauty in so many ways over the years. Whether we are born here or seek refuge here, there’s a place for us all. We must remember it’s not my America or your America. It’s our America.”

Well, according to the author of this piece, Obama should include Melania as a part of American’s great diversity.

MacKinnon wrote, “What an opportunity for Mrs. Obama to show that she meant what she tweeted about diversity. Does she see its beauty in Mrs. Trump? Can the former first lady overlook her feelings toward President Trump to give much-deserved credit to the current first lady—a woman who came from a tough background, carved out a place for herself in a highly competitive and unforgiving industry and learned to speak six languages along the way?”

So Melania speaks 6 languages now? I thought it was 5?

Mind you, Melania Trump has been silent the past few weeks as her husband has launched racist attacks against congresswomen of color, as well as Rep. Elijah Cummings, a black congressman from Baltimore, Maryland.

Melania has previously spoken out against her husband when she condemned his zero-tolerance immigration policy that led to the separation of immigrant families at the border.

Melania said that she was “heartbroken” by the removal of children from their parents and that it prompted an unannounced visit to the southern border earlier last year.

“It was unacceptable for me to see children and parents separated,” Melania said in an interview for ABC News’ special Being Melania. “It was heartbreaking. And I reacted with my own voice.”

Still, Twitter had some thoughts:
