Watch a Visibly Shaken Melania Trump’s Voice Crack When She Tries to Speak Over Loud Boos

Melania Trump was loudly booed as she delivered a speech at the B’More Youth Summit on Opioid Awareness in Baltimore on Tuesday morning.

“We have a big problem in this country and we all need to step up. We need everybody. We need all hands on deck,” opened Jim Wahlberg, the brother of actor Mark Wahlberg. “Like the previous speaker said, this is not a white or black issue, this is not a political issue, this is not a ‘I belong to his party, or I belong to that party’ issue. This is a life or death issue, and we need everybody’s participation.”

“Now that being said, I am going to introduce somebody who has made it their personal mission to use their platform to make a difference in this particular area with wellness and addiction, and particularly the opioid crisis that we’re living through right now,” he continued. “So ladies and gentlemen, yes you’re young people but you’re ladies and gentlemen, it is my pleasure to introduce to you the First Lady of the United States of America.”

As Trump walked on stage, the audience broke out into a reaction of screaming and loud booing, and as she delivered her speech, protesters tried to drown her out with noise.

At one point, Melania looked up and said “Hello everyone” and seemed off from her normal robot-like delivery. Then her voice cracked as she thanked the DEA. (Go to 6:36 in video).

A CNN reporter who covers the first lady said that this was the first time she had heard her being booed at a solo event.

Donald Trump came under fire earlier this year for a racist tirade against Baltimore in which he called it “a disgusting, rat and rodent infested mess” where “no human being would want to live.”

He also criticized Rep. Elijah Cummings, who represented a large portion of the city prior to his death last month. This prompted the Baltimore Sun editorial board to refer to the president as “vermin” in a scorching editorial.

The president has himself been booed at recent events, including an MLB World Series game in Washington, DC, and a UFC match in New York City.

His son, Donald Trump Jr., was also recently booed offstage by right-wing activists and the president’s supporters at a book signing event on the UCLA campus.
