A Terrifying Question Must Be Asked About Trump-Yovanovitch Tape

Everyone should be interested in the answer.

We need one question answered, immediately. In the tapes recently released, covered by Andrea in her article, Trump is heard to say:

“Ger rid of her tomorrow, okay. I don’t care. Get her out tomorrow, take her out.”

Why was Trump giving the order to the mob-like goon Lev Parnas, and (perhaps) Rudy Giuliani?

The president can fire an ambassador and recall him or her home immediately.

Why would Trump not pick-up the phone and speak to someone at the State Department to get a message to Mike Pompeo; “Fire her tonight, replace her by tomorrow.”

Why was Trump giving the order to someone who could not have removed Ambassador Yovanovitch?

“Taken out” – in the manner Trump meant – might be something that can’t be done by a U.S. employee.

Is it possible that Trump actually did want Yovanovitch “taken out” because some Ukrainian and Russian oligarchs, to whom Yovanovicth had been an incorruptible pain in the ass, wanted Yovanovitch taken out in a way to set an example for the next person and other ambassadors?

Oligarchs do like to exert control by setting examples. Ask Putin.

I do not know the answer to the question. I only know that it is terrifying that we must ask. And do keep in mind that Hyde’s texts to Parnas reference surveilling Yovanovitch.

Think of it this way, at best, Trump is telling the people in his pseudo-State Department, the illegal one, to fire Yovanovitch.

Last question: What is William Barr doing about investigating this matter? I wrote earlier this week that Ukraine has already initiated its own investigation into whether Ambassador Yovanovitch was in danger. When is our investigation going to be announced?
