First, I plead guilty to posting something akin to clickbait. But there’s only so much impeachment and stupid racist American stuff one can take.
I am not going to celebrate any death, well, not very many, and not this one. However, there are some deaths for which I feel less sympathy than others.
Put it this way, death was inevitable at this event, it is just usually only one chicken, and they die in severe pain after a fearful fight. One of the men responsible for that fight was killed, as a rooster made a run for it in transport: The Daily Beast brings us the critical story:
An Indian man transporting his rooster to an illegal cockfight died after the bird tried to break free and a blade tied to its claw slashed the owner’s neck, CNN reported. Saripalli Chanavenkateshwaram Rao, 50, was rushed to the hospital but had a fatal stroke. Police spokesman Kranti Kumar said that despite the tragic turn, the cockfight went on as planned. Cockfighting has been illegal in India for decades but is still a popular gambling activity.
The fact that the cockfight went on as planned anyway gives you an idea as to the type of people who engage in this sick activity.
I dearly hope that the rooster that made a run for it “won.”
Yes, this is sick in every way. Yet I am shedding no tears. Perhaps there will be fewer cockfights in the future.
