Trump’s ‘Space Force’ Unveils Logo and It Appears They Directly Copied ‘Star Trek’ Logo

Donald Trump unveiled the logo for Space Force on Friday, the newly established sixth branch of the Armed Forces.

And people immediately picked up on something strange.

“After consultation with our Great Military Leaders, designers, and others, I am pleased to present the new logo for the United States Space Force, the Sixth Branch of our Magnificent Military!” Trump tweeted Friday afternoon, attaching a picture of the logo.

George Takei says the team behind “Star Trek” is “expecting some royalties” from the design of the Space Force logo.

Takei — who played Hikaru Sulu on “Star Trek” — was one of several social media users to point out distinct similarities between the Space Force logo and that of the Starfleet, the fictional organization on the TV series.
