Unhinged Trump Whines That He Deserves a Nobel Peace Prize for Saving the Country of Ethiopia
Donald Trump is at the Huntington Center in Toledo, Ohio, on Thursday for his first rally in 2020 as he deals with tensions in Iran and impeachment limbo on Capitol Hill.
Trump called strike that killed Iranian General Qassem Soleimani “the opposite of Benghazi.”
“We got there very early, we saw what was happening — I saw what was happening, I said what’s all that about,” Trump said. “And that was going to be another Benghazi. Had they broken through the final panels of glass, they were breaking it, breaking it. Had they gotten through, we would have had either hundreds of dead people or hundreds of hostages. That wasn’t going to happen. And I called up our great generals, I said get them over there now.”
Trump then whined that he deserved to win the Nobel Peace Prize for the saving the country of Ethiopia.
Trump complains about president of Ethiopia getting Nobel "I'm going to tell you about the Nobel Peace Prize. I'll tell you about that. I made a deal. I saved a country and I just heard that the head of that country is now getting the Nobel Peace Prize for saving the country."

Thursday’s rally is the first of the new year, as well as the first rally since the death of Soleimani. The rally comes the same day as the House passed the War Powers Resolution which would limit Trump’s powers in attacking Iran, except in the case of retaliation. Trump has characterized the resolution as “PRESIDENTIAL HARASSMENT!” and “Democrat fraud,” on his Twitter account.
