Melania Trump was recognized on Wednesday by Palm Beach Atlantic University, a small college 3 miles away from Mar-a-Lago, as its 2020 “Woman of Distinction.”
The university typically honors two women who have contributed to the community during its annual awards luncheon — but this year Trump will be the sole recipient.
“Our first lady is an exquisite human being, a magnificent wife and life partner, a superb mother and an outstanding first lady,” the luncheon’s co-chairwoman Eileen Burns previously told USA Today [1].
“Melania is a perfect example of a Woman of Distinction and we are most proud to honor her.”
“First ladies define the history of our country,” co-chair Frances Fisher told USA Today. “We are honored to recognize Mrs. Trump as a Woman of Distinction and the only first lady since Mrs. Kennedy to be a Palm Beach resident. This will be a truly memorable event.”
Seriously?
In her role as first lady, Trump has focused on major issues facing children — launching an initiative called Be Best in 2017. The initiative aims to concentrate on issues impacting children today, focusing on three main pillars: well-being, online safety and opioid abuse. But she has accomplished nothing.
Nothing.
Just recently, The Washington Post revealed [2] that children across the country are becoming meaner in their bullying, and it’s all because of Melania’s husband, Donald Trump. I guess Melania was unavailable for comment?
But what else has she done to merit winning the “Women of Distinction” award?
Let’s take a look at that.
First, she took her sweet time moving to the White House. I mean, I get it. Her son was in school, and she didn’t want to move and disrupt his life. But that decision cost the taxpayer dearly. Her flights alone cost the taxpayers $675,000 [3].
In October 2018, she spent $100K at on hotels [4] in Egypt…and didn’t even spend the night. But, she got a good photo shoot out of it!
She did the same thing in Canada, but spent even more [5]…and again, didn’t even spend the night!
Melania fully supported Brett Kavanaugh [6], even though everyone knows the man is a sexual abuser.
Who can forget when Melania claimed she’s the most bullied person [7] in the world??
How about when Melania spent taxpayer money to fly to vacation [8] in Florida, even though her husband shut the government down?
Or how about during the Stormy Daniels fiasco when she fled to Mar-a-Lago to go the spa [9], again, costing the American taxpayer big bucks?
Ugh, and that jacket [10]. “I don’t really care, do u?”
She changed the name of the White House [11] from “The People’s House” to “The President’s House.”
Melania committed a big faux pas [12] while attending the D-Day ceremonies in Europe.
There is even rumor that she doesn’t even live in the White House [13], instead living in Maryland with Barron and her parents.
As for Melania’s speech, it was terrible. It was 8 minutes of her struggling to read from the teleprompter, often struggling to read basic words.
Despite the award being called the “Women of Distinction” award, Melania called it the “WOMAN of Distinction” award because it’s always all about her.
