MORON: Trump Misquotes NY Times Article To Call Himself ‘The King’
If nothing else, having an uneducated and incurious president does provide some humorous moments. Sad as they may be, we best use whatever entertainment value there is to be had.
Trump found this NY Times quote “very cool” this morning, certainly because it utilizes the word “King” in a story about him. And what does Trump do the moment he sees anything he likes about himself? He tweeted it out, and it will be a few hours before he has any regret.
“Ralph Waldo Emerson seemed to foresee the lesson of the Senate Impeachment Trial of President Trump. ‘When you strike at the King, Emerson famously said, “you must kill him.’ Mr. Trump’s foes struck at him but did not take him down. A triumphant Mr.Trump emerges from the…..

So, yes, Trump believes that this is all a compliment, feeling the power coursing through his veins, it must be “cool.” This is all despite the fact that Baker expressly states that Trump’s case is based upon victimization, “grievance,” and vulnerability, “persecution,” two words that Trump surely doesn’t understand in this context.
Trump only knows that he likes the part about shooting at kings and not killing them. He gets to play “king,” which is the point of the article. Someone ought to point out to Trump that there is no rule preventing the king from being shot at more than once.
Regardless, the net had a happy time responding to King Trump:

I dearly wish we had gotten a chance to hear the non-Barred version of that man’s report.
Following the theme of this article, Trump failed to understand the article that he posted:
Um, a couple of things. First, this @peterbakernyt article puts you in the worst possible light. Secondly, so does this ad from @ProjectLincoln. pic.twitter.com/pX2AzRz3qZ

Returnging to our theme, because it is just so hilarious. Trump sees “King” in a quote that involves him, and figures it is cool, he needs others to see:
Do you realize that this isn’t actually praise for you?

WE conclude with one of my favorite follows on Twitter, because Conway never lets any Trump fck-up go by without comment:
*NOW* can we have a national conversation about @realDonaldTrump’s mental health? https://t.co/igvXAxjJ7P

Good morning Flares, we’re going to have a great weekend, Trump is feeling both emboldened and terrified.
It is terrible governance and terrible for democracy, but makes great TV. We will be covering it all.

Peace, y’all
