Republicans Say Melania isn’t on the Cover of Vogue Because … She’s ‘Too Beautiful and Conservative’

We arrive at a story critical to the future success of our nation as a democratic republic. Conservative actor James Woods believes it is terribly important to keep score as to the number of magazine covers per first lady as a measure of Americans’ fairness.

And I thought it was supposed to be the liberals that were the snowflakes whining about equal opportunities to the laughter of conservatives.

To be fair, the score is pretty lopsided: From the Independent [1]:

A debate over Melania Trump [2]’s absence from fashion magazine covers has been reignited after conservative actor James Woods [3] questioned why the first lady [4] has “never graced our nation’s major style magazine covers”.

Well, “never’ is a number posted that reflects an easy comparison if we could find something to which we could compare.

However, since taking on the role of first lady, Mrs Trump has not appeared on any magazine covers. In comparison, Michelle Obama was featured on 12 magazine covers during her eight years as first lady, including Vogue [5] three times, Glamour, Time, InStyle and Essence.

Oh.

Well, should I be the first one to tell Woods that there are other reasons, beyond “liberal/conservative” that one might find causation for the dichotomy?

There is the slight chance that perhaps Melania is not, actually, the most beautiful woman to ever be the first lady. Slight.

Additionally, I believe it is more difficult for women to get cover shots when the fashion industry determines to be … rather unlikeable versus those who are genuinely liked throughout the world. “Likeability” may be the reasoning, not so much the liberal-conservative thing.

“If you need any further proof of the shameless bias of the liberal mainstream media, the most stunning First Lady in American history has never graced our nation’s major style magazine covers…” Woods wrote on 8 February, alongside a photo of Mrs. Trump taken ahead of the White House’s governor’s ball.

James, it proves nothing more than the fact that conservatives are actually for affirmative action, and sound like entitled whiners when they do not get what they want.

Good luck, James.

And might we add, with respect to Melania’s lack of cover appearances, “I don’t care, why do u?”

Take a look at some of the nuttiest conservatives replies:

LMAO, these MAGAt’s are delusional:

This is the woman they are claiming is “too conservative!”
