Trump Is ANGRY: Plans to Make Nation’s Poorest People Pay to Fight Coronavirus

The wealthiest nation to ever grace human civilization needs $37 million to help fight a global pandemic. We have a huge portion of the world’s billionaires, for whom any individual could pay the $37 million and have it equate to absolutely no more than 3.7% of their overall worth, and for many it would be far less.

So it shouldn’t be any trouble to rally up some pennies to fight the Coronavirus, now should it?

The Washington Post‘s Greg Sargent and Paul Waldman reported Tuesday that the White House informed congressional Democrats that it wants to transfer “$37 million to emergency funding for the coronavirus response from the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, or LIHEAP, which funds heating for poor families.

And that is how one steals from the poor and gives to the rich, since those billionaires will benefit every bit as much from the national response to the Coronavirus as the people who are having it come out of funding set aside for their benefit.

Thankfully some reasonable people noticed:

“After dithering for weeks as the coronavirus spread, the Trump administration has now decided to pay for its belated response by cutting funding for heating assistance for low-income families.”
—Evan Hollander, spokesman for House Appropriations Committee Democrats

We say this often, but apparently still not often enough, only the Trump administration could do it this way, and I honestly believe that since everything is personal to Trump, and since we know that he is so very angry at this virus, that he intentionally directed it to be taken from something set aside to lessen cruelty.

“Because if we have to prevent the spread of an infectious disease, we might as well take the opportunity to make some poor families freeze,” Waldman tweeted, deriding the administration’s proposal.

Exactly.

It’s how Donald Trump has done things for decades, if he has to pay some extra and he’s real angry, he is going to crackback on the people hurting the worst.

Peace, y’all
