Trump LIED About Sending Rudy to Ukraine: Trump Does Not Trust CIA and FBI, He Sends Rudy

During the run-up to impeachment, Trump vehemently denied sending Rudy Giuliani to Ukraine. Trump unleashed his fury at people who continually asked the question. At one point during “chopper talk,” Trump stated that Rudy had other clients and Rudy might have been in Ukraine for other clients. Trump said he had no idea why Rudy was in Urkaine.

The impeachment proceeding never produced rock-solid proof that Trump sent Rudy Giuliani to Ukraine, to catch Trump in a lie. Of course, without any direct witnesses, evidence about anything was tough to come by.

That was not an accident.

Now it is no longer a matter of proof. Trump is free from consequences concerning anything.  The new U.S. Emperor, just admitted that he sent Rudy Giuliani to Ukraine [1] to gather dirt on Joe Biden.

What are you going to do about it?

Trump’s recklessness is such that he likely didn’t know that he let truth slip, when on  Thursday, Trump did a podcast interview   [2]with journalist Geraldo Rivera.

“Was it strange to send Rudy Giuliani to Ukraine, your personal lawyer? Are you sorry you did that?”

Trump responded exactly as you would expect. He has never been sorry about anything he does: “No, not at all,” and he praised Giuliani’s role as a “crime fighter.”

“Here’s my choice: I deal with the Comeys of the world, or I deal with Rudy,” Trump said, referring to former FBI Director James Comey. Trump explained that he has “a very bad taste” of the US intelligence community, because of the Russia investigation, so he turned to Giuliani.
“So when you tell me, why did I use Rudy, and one of the things about Rudy, number one, he was the best prosecutor, you know, one of the best prosecutors, and the best mayor,” Trump said. “But also, other presidents had them. FDR had a lawyer who was practically, you know, was totally involved with government. Eisenhower had a lawyer, they all had lawyers.
This is, of course, all bullshit. Had this been as normal as Trump would like you to think, he would not lied his fat fat fat head off about it prior to impeachment. It is so wrong that even Trump knows that a president cannot have a personal and private State Department and CIA, reporting to Trump alone, especially entrusted to half-wit Rudy.
Thus, Trump lied.
But that was then. Some examples of Trump’s pre-impeachment acquittal lies:
Asked in November if he directed Giuliani to “do anything” in Ukraine, Trump said, “No, I didn’t direct him,” but went on to call Giuliani a “great corruption fighter.” Giuliani says he’s exposing legitimate corruption in Ukraine, even though his claims about former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden have been widely debunked.
Try to imagine how Trump feels now, this week. At no point in his life has he been this free to tell the truth, this free to do as he wants, including firing people that anger him, even if technically it is wrong to do. He can now tell his Ukraine story as it really happened, without a fear in the world.
But do not miss that point about “the Comeys of the world,” it is extremely telling. Trump is setting it up such that if the CIA or the real FBI (the non-Trump loyal ones) catch Trump red handed with a sack of rubles and directions from Putin, Trump has already trashed the CIA’s reputation, and he will say that it is nothing but CIA retribution.
Trump is attempting to protect himself from any investigation or charge coming from our intelligence communities. He is also using Bill Barr to investigate the CIA such that the CIA doesn’t feel “free” to watch Trump and his possible conflicts with Putin or MBS. Trump wants to be “free” to collude as he likes without consequences.
Meanwhile, each of us is less free, drip by drip. We get used to living under a dictatorship, where we have no power to stop the leader from going about doing whatever he wants.
