Trump Readies for Full Takeover of DOJ Post-Acquittal: ‘Mueller Investigation Should Never Have Happened and Was Tainted’

All signs point to Trump taking the next big step toward dictatorship by erasing the findings of Mueller investigation, the criminal charges springing from Mueller’s investigation, and all guilty pleas imposed upon his friends and associates through the investigation.

Yesterday, democracy had one of its worst days under Trump. We heard little about it because the media had to address the important results coming out of the New Hampshire primary. But no one doubts that Trump and the nation took a significant step toward lawlessness, as demonstrated by four DOJ prosecutors protesting Trump and Barr’s iron fist slamming down on the rule of law.

Trump tweeted about the insurrection that occurred within the DOJ and Barr’s intervention into the Stone case, letting the world know that his friends will likely never face real justice:

“Congratulations to Attorney General Bill Barr for taking charge of a case that was totally out of control and perhaps should not have even been brought,” Trump tweeted. “Evidence now clearly shows that the Mueller Scam was improperly brought & tainted. Even Bob Mueller lied to Congress!”

The case was not totally out of control. Only in Donald Trump’s mind should it not have been brought, there is no evidence that that Mueller investigation was a “scam” or improperly brought, nor that Mueller lied.

This is just plain old fascism of the type we can increasingly expect post-acquittal. Trump’s only problems with the Mueller investigations revolve around the fact that Mueller charged Trump campaign personnel and friends. Charging Trump personnel and friends will no longer be done in this dictatorship. Trump is not trying to hide what is coming next. He will pardon all who were prosecuted by the Mueller investigation, Flynn, Manafort, Page, Stone, and a few others.

Sit back and absorb it. No president, ever, has used the pardon process to simply pardon friends who have served him politically, especially at this stage of the presidency. Trump loves the pardon power because it is the most dictator-like power in the entire constitution.

How will the country react? Will there be an uproar among Republicans? We have already seen how Congress reacts to Trump’s illegal and unconstitutional moves. He was acquitted, and Republicans fought to not see evidence. I am sure that it is not a coincidence that Trump suddenly got actively involved with Stone and Flynn cases after the impeachment was concluded.
