GOP Hypocrisy

British Author Pens the Most Simple, Short, and Sophisticated Description of Trump

Someone asked Quora why British people hate Trump, and Nate White, who sure seems like a sensible chap whom I would love to take down to the pub to hoist a couple pops, was kind enough to answer. His answer is so wonderfully British. It cuts with precision, using the English language like a laser, straight into Trump’s ribs, or ass.

We here at Flare will never deprive other writers the money they – and we – need to continue our work, and thus we’re sticking with a few short paragraphs below and you will need to click here at the link (It is a free article) for the rest of the article – very worthwhile. Meanwhile, I’ll just meet up with you below, after Nate has schooled me in language.

Trump lacks certain qualities which the British traditionally esteem.
For instance, he has no class, no charm, no coolness, no credibility, no compassion, no wit, no warmth, no wisdom, no subtlety, no sensitivity, no self-awareness, no humility, no honour and no grace – all qualities, funnily enough, with which his predecessor Mr. Obama was generously blessed. So for us, the stark contrast does rather throw Trump’s limitations into embarrassingly sharp relief.
Oh, and the old boy was just getting worked up.
After all, it’s impossible to read a single tweet, or hear him speak a sentence or two, without staring deep into the abyss. He turns being artless into an art form; he is a Picasso of pettiness; a Shakespeare of shit. His faults are fractal: even his flaws have flaws, and so on ad infinitum.
God knows there have always been stupid people in the world, and plenty of nasty people too. But rarely has stupidity been so nasty, or nastiness so stupid.
You do owe it to yourself, and to Nate, to save this for a good laugh, and send it to others when you want to rage, or cry.
I do relish the fact that Trump is going to live the rest of his life, whether short or long, knowing that he was never close to being adored like Obama. He lives for the adoration, he sucks it in like oxygen, perhaps even more so than money, he needs adoration. He never got it.
There is a movement in New York to rename Fifth Avenue. Many New Yorkers want to rename it President Barack Obama Avenue. I can think of no greater tribute to Obama, no bigger personal insult to Trump, and nothing more in the spirit of this short essay, than to have Donald Trump have to see his defining phallic symbol, Trump Tower, on “Barack Obama Avenue” for the rest of his days.
Don’t know if they can pull it off. But if New York does it, you can bet that Nate will write a letter, “Good show, guv,” with a wry smile. The British are just that way.
Peace, y’all
