The Trump campaign is moving Melania from the shadows out into the spotlight. Whereas Melania has been mostly kept hidden from day to day duties within the campaign, they have now decided that they can use her in a more prominent role. She will be put out to raise funds for the campaign, something that seems to square more with her ability to “connect” with people, particularly fawning men.

According to Politico:

The first lady is listed as the host of a March 18 fundraiser in Beverly Hills and also for a March 25 event at the president’s Mar-a-Lago club, according to invitations to the two events. The fundraisers benefit Trump Victory, a joint fundraising account for the Trump 2020 campaign and the Republican National Committee.

So the event in a swank Beverly Hills meeting will be a fundraiser at a long lucky club, while the one at Mar-a-lago will be a tag team between two organizations, both sharing her abilities, and paying her money for coming and helping them in their cause, shooting Trump up in the polls.

The campaign notes the advantage of Melania’s appeal over that of Trump. Melania is younger and doesn’t necessarily let her own agenda control the room:

While the president has become a regular on the donor circuit, the first lady is a newcomer to the political fundraising scene. Before the 2018 midterm elections, however, she sent out a fundraising appeal defending her husband.

Well, that is one way to defend her husband and make him look good. Still, it seems like if she had had this appeal all along, they would have sent her out to entertain the crowds and beg for money long beforehand.

Republican officials view Melania Trump as a major draw for big donors who are eager to connect with the president’s family. Donald Trump Jr., the president’s son, has been a frequent guest at donor events, as has Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser, Jared Kushner. Kimberly Guilfoyle, who is Donald Trump Jr.’s girlfriend, was recently named chair of the Trump Victory finance committee.

Well, I would have told them that the donors would have been very drawn to connect with Melania, far more so than Donald, and I bet even Eric, more than anyone but Ivanka. And what is this about Kimberly Guilfoyle and a chair? Kimberly is not even a part of the family and yet she seems to be brought in to dance as a full player in this, very weird.

Well, it seems as though the women that attract so many Republican MAGA heads – known to largely be men, are going to be sent out there as nets for money, a moments time, a smile, an bare elbow bump, something to finally put both Melania, and Kimberly to use, along with some of the other escorts, Eric and Don Jr. (anyone else find it weird that Don Jr. isn’t even married to Kimberly and indeed still has kids with his real divorced wife to care for?).

Regardless, the women are shedding some of their more restrained and buttoned-up ways. The women who are normally covered up and in the back, will move up front, to bear all the passions in an attempt to raise money for Trump.
