Trump Says He Knows South Korea Better than Anyone — Then States Seoul Has 38 Million People (It Has 9 Million)
Well, another day, another Trump covid-19 rally in the books.
This one was just as crazy as the others, with Trump yelling at reporters and lying constantly.
At one point he was asked by PBS’s Yamiche Alcindor when the US would catch up with South Korea with testing. Trump then said he knows South Korea better than anyone.
“Do you know how many people there are in Seoul? 38 million,” Trump said, emphasizing that people are “packed in there”.
In fact, the population of Seoul is 9.7m. It is unclear where Trump got his figure.

Trump asks a reporter what the population of Seoul, South Korea, is.
"I know South Korea better than anybody," he says. "You know how many people are in Seoul?"
"38 million," he says.
It's about 10 million.

Today Trump claimed that Korea's capital has 38mil people, explaining that's why they were so successful at testing and limiting deaths to just 138 compared to our 2,968 over the same period.
It actually has 9.7mil, a bit more than NYC.
Trump needs to do some Seoul searching.

I am approximately 1,000,000 per cent certain that Trump Googled "Seoul" specifically to make this observation and then confused Seoul's elevation for its population https://t.co/vXhllhMldj pic.twitter.com/QcUv8mYi4n

Trump said 37 million people live in Seoul.
There’s 9.7 million.
Pathological in the worst way possible.
