Trump’s DOJ Told All Judges and Staff to Remove Bilingual Coronavirus Prevention Boards From Detention Centers

This is unbelievable, but it sure speaks to what this administration cares about. The Trump administration cares about facilitating the deaths of immigrants. After all, if you don’t want to convey information about coronavirus in Spanish, there is only one takeaway. You don’t want Spanish speakers able to perceive instructions on how to stay alive:

We seen so much to be angered about these days that it is tough to find any in reserve, but the pettiness in the cruelty to the above is perhaps what does it. “Ordering” them down, “ordering” them to be “corrected,” so as to leave migrants unaware?

They want migrants to get sick.

The virus will then permeate through the detention centers. Can one think of an any building or living situation in society more amenable to fast spread of such a contagion than a detention center?

After a huge backlash, the administration had to reverse the issue:

So the point was to get migrants sick, and thus to get the virus spread in and among the detention camps (concentration camps, for all practical purposes), but then when the news got out, and there was an outcry among potential voters, only then did the policy switch? Of course, would we expect it any other way with this administration?

Below is exactly right. We have been warned, we do know what this administration is capable of, and we know that cruelty is the point. We have one last chance to oust the instincts that caused these people to phone down and order the bilingual posters taken down and replaced. Just remember, the original instinct was to call down and get them changed to remove the Spanish. It was only voter pressure that reversed it. We have been warned.

That’s what it is.

We lack decency and integrity. And we have been warned. We have one last shot.
