Jesus, these people. This is so easily explained-away by a non-doctor, but we’ll let the experts weigh-in, from Mediate:

The Center for Disease Control and health experts have explained in the past that people are “at higher risk for severe illness from Covid-19” if they are older or if they have serious pre-existing medical conditions. Taking those conditions into account, even if people don’t die from the coronavirus itself, they still face a potentially life-threatening situation if the disease causes complications that make a patient more difficult to treat.

Hume’s promotion of the thread comes weeks after he faced criticism for circulating a dubious article from Medium — which was later deleted — that downplayed the seriousness of Covid-19 and called out “hysteria” surrounding it. That article was also not written by a health expert.

What could possibly be the justification for saying New York is inflating deaths, using a table that is transparently and wrongly summarized?

The justification is to say that the disease isn’t bad enough to shut down the economy. So what happens when the 30% of Mississippians that test positive need hospitalization, because of an underlying condition like diabetes and extreme obesity? Is Hume going to say that Mississippi is inflating what are soon to be terrible numbers? No – Hume is not going to say anything like that, the Fox audience lives in the south.

They are politicizing an epidemic, all to shield Trump, and make it red versus blue.

Disgusting and dangerous.
