Trump Calls Press Conference to Do Nothing But Complain About Illinois Governor and Push Unproven Drug
There wasn’t going to be a briefing today, as nothing is different than yesterday – indeed ten minutes in, Trump hasn’t even stated a single figure, only platitudes about no one seeing anything like this, deployed x number … , it is all the same thing. We know why this press conference was called:
See, there wasn’t going to be one today, but then the WH realized that Biden would be doing a town hall and they could preempt 60 Minutes. It’s all TV programming for the re-elect now. https://t.co/BWtrPFqcA0

Every time he gives us a figure, it is something that would be better announced during a CDC press conference given by someone who knows what he or she is talking about.
“Deploying millions of …”

“In the last 24 hours FEMA has delivered 500 ventilators and the governor is very happy …”
This is shit that is just filler, used to keep people from watching Biden.
Trump just noted that Illinois’ governor is someone who is always complaining, and Trump noted that he has not performed well, and thus “we” (who?) will be staffing it because the Illinois governor hasn’t been able to do his job very well.
Trump attacks @GovPritzker, who criticized federal coronavirus response efforts on TV today: “There is a governor, I hear him complaining all the time, Pritzker. He is always complaining … He has not performed well.” pic.twitter.com/9rysI88qjp

Yes.
Trump is bragged that the United States has now tested far more people than any other country, ignoring that they are late, and that 1,676,000 tests, or less than .5% of the population.
He is back on hydroxychloroquine again – talking about “very strong signs that it works” – which would best be left to Dr. Fauci and Birx, and Trump went ahead and prescribed it again, so long as you don’t have heart problems, we would say “let your doctor think about it,” but he believes they are two things that should be looked at very strongly. They have stockpiled 29 million pills – many people are asking whether Trump has stock in these companies that make them. He asked again, what do you have to lose? You have a lot to lose. He is now arguing for these prophylactically.
Since when is that asshole qualified to give medical advice?!!

This is the most irresponsible advice a president has ever given, EVER. He brings it up at every press conference. Then finishes by saying he doesn’t know, he’s not a doctor.
He said that because the drug has been out there a long time, they know the side effect – he just mentioned that they have 29 million doses – again, for the fourth time.
After suggesting people consider taking unproven drugs because "What do you have to lose?" Trump then follows up with "I've seen things I kind of like. But what do I know. I'm not a doctor. But I have common sense".

This is unbelievable – and TV networks that broadcast this shit each day should not be considered as co-conspirators if people start taking these medications on their own.
Dr. Trump touts unproven and potentially dangerous drugs: "Erythromycin, which will kill certain things that you don't want living within your body. It's a powerful drug … what do you have to lose?" pic.twitter.com/UDQovyhbGx
