Donald Trump is holding a last-minute press conference, despite there being no press conference on the schedule today.
Earlier Trump said he might hold a presser if new news was available.
I will be having a White House CoronaVirus Task Force meeting in a short while. May or may not do a News Conference after the meeting, depending on new information. Talks & meetings today are proving promising, but a rough two weeks are coming up!

But many people noted that Trump’s presser is at the same time as Joe Biden’s town hall, that has been schedule for days. It is also at the same time of 60 Minutes, and their main segment is on how coronavirus has hurt the economy.
Twitter had some thoughts:
Joe Biden has a town hall tonight at 7pm EDT. It has been scheduled for days.
Now, the White House has scheduled an “emergency briefing” at 7pm.
Donald Trump fears Joe Biden.

Now all of a sudden, Trump wants a press conference today after all https://t.co/evoeRC9OGZ [3]

Is THIS why Trump's holding a press conference tonight at the same time that @60Minutes [5] is airing?#coronavirus [6] #COVID19 [7]#CoronavirusUSA [8] https://t.co/xlE6ggjQbu [9]

So Joe Biden is having a town hall on his website at 7:00 pm EST, and Trump hastily calls a press conference for the same time. #StopAiringTrump [11]

Rather than having a press conference at 7pm, maybe Trump and his “wife” should be standing in front of the White House and applaud health care workers

I’m sure it’s a coincidence that 60 Minutes, which is on at the same time, is doing an segment on the impact of COVID-19 on small businesses. https://t.co/xo7IJvnpDB [14]
