Americans Shocked that Trump Completely Fails to Mention Wife Melania on Mother’s Day

Donald Trump is quite obviously not a fan of things that celebrate or pay respects to others or for accomplishments others have made. After all, Donald Trump is surrounded by mothers. He is still [purportedly] married to the mother of the son he never mentions, though we hear that she lives in separate quarters with her parents. He has a daughter who is a mother. Rumor has it that Donald Trump had a mother once, and yet he didn’t mention anyone, in particular, today when he brought it up.

It is just another example of Donald Trump going through the motions without even the slightest bit of care.

Donald Trump tweeted or re-tweeted 50 times this morning – we’ve already covered much of what he’s done – prior to ever getting around to mentioning that it was Mother’s Day, and that is literally all he did, mention it.

Well, congratulations. He even got the apostrophe right – meaning that he didn’t write it.

I am trying to think of anyone, whether it is a president, a TV anchor, a principal, anyone – who when mentioning Mother’s Day and paying a fraction of the type of tribute the world’s mothers deserve, doesn’t take time to mention the mothers in his life.

Granted, we understand that when you have three [documented] different mothers of your children, you would sort of have to mention them all – but is that so bad? Is it that hard to say, “I want to wish Ivana and Marla happy Mother’s day, too, for our children that we share and love so much.” It can’t be that hard, I just pulled it out of my rear and yet can you imagine Trump saying something similar? It sounds near impossible, quite possibly because it is impossible.

To be fair, Trump talked about his own mother on Friday (see? HIS mother gets mentioned, but not the people in and around him). Interestingly, he said that she let him get away with anything, which is another way of saying “She didn’t love me,” but maybe it’s a little late to break it to him.

As opposed to a little “nothing” on Mother’s Day, I would bet that Trump expects to be treated like a king when … Monday rolls around.

Twitter had some thoughts:
