Trump Wants to Investigate Social Media Companies For Not Being Pro-Trump Enough

The Trump administration is considering forming a panel to combat what it sees as “anti-conservative” bias across social media platforms.

We should establish a couple of points before we even get into this horror. First, there is simply nothing traditionally “conservative” about Trump’s outlook or government. What Trump calls an “anti-conservative” bias is nothing more than what he perceives to be an “anti-Trump bias.”

Second, to the extent that there is any sort of “bias,” it is that there is a bias against racism and anti-science stupidity that gets innocent people hurt during an epidemic. It is not social media’s fault that Trump perceives the racists and the anti-science folks to be synonymous with “anti-Trump.”

Now that we have the predicate established, we have this from The Hill:

The plans are still being mulled, people familiar with the matter told The Wall Street Journal, but options could include the creation of a formal White House commission on the allegations.

“Left-wing bias in the tech world is a concern that definitely needs to be addressed from our vantage point, and at least exposed [so] that Americans have clear eyes about what we’re dealing with,” a White House official told The Journal.

Russia is putting the pressure on Trump, wondering what has taken him so long. Russia probably figures that these are obvious changes to be put in place to get to a full autocratic dictatorship. Government control of the media under Trump will come through the claim that HE is unfairly treated, and thus action must be taken – which, no matter how construed upfront, will likely be the suppression of liberal voices in the media.

Conservative groups have for years said their content is disproportionately subjected to bias in search rankings and news feeds, and even deleted in a practice known as “shadow banning.”

Who do you think is/was a better president?

Yes, they always claim to be the victim – always. And they’re always wrong, except for the caveats above, the racism and anti-science elements within the party are going to get their “platform” banned or at least “shadowbanned.”

God this man is just so dangerous. We really should have figured he would do this, and do it this year.

Peace, y’all
