President Donald Trump is going off the rails according to Rasmussen’s daily index, receiving his lowest approval rating in more than two years, according to The National Review.

Only 42 percent of those polled Wednesday said they approve of his performance, while 57 percent of those polled said they disapproved.

That grim, fifteen percent net disapproval rating, is the lowest rating for Trump since December 2017. Rasmussen skews favorably towards Republicans, so this definitely isn’t good news for the president. Especially since 47 percent of those polled strongly disapprove of him, while only 30 percent approve. That’s his worst rating since January 2018.

And Trump has really been throwing sparks lately — even more so than usual, and it makes me wonder if this is partly responsible for his tanking approval rating. His Twitter meltdowns are almost always bizarre, verging on the nonsensical but his current behavior is well beyond that.

Trump especially seems to have it in for Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough, repeatedly tweeting a bizarre conspiracy theory involving an MSNBC aide to the talk show host. Wednesday he ranted on Twitter that Scarborough is “rattled” over “all of the things and facts that are coming out on the Internet about opening a Cold Case.”

While White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany defended her boss Wednesday by claiming the theory isn’t an “original Trump thought” and that Scarborough should respond to Trump’s accusations, the president’s tweets have been hurtful to the husband of Lori Klausutis, the woman who died from an abnormal heart rhythm in 2001 while working for Scarborough.

Over the weekend, Timothy Klausutis sent a letter to Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey asking Twitter to take down Trump’s tweets regarding his wife. And Twitter responded, with a spokesman noting it is “deeply sorry” about Trump’s comments, and that the company is “working to expand existing product features and policies so we can more effectively address things like this going forward.”

Twitter subsequently tagged several of Trump’s tweets about mail-in ballots, adding a label suggesting they should be fact-checked and that also didn’t sit well with him.

There is NO WAY (ZERO!) that Mail-In Ballots will be anything less than substantially fraudulent. Mail boxes will be robbed, ballots will be forged & even illegally printed out & fraudulently signed. The Governor of California is sending Ballots to millions of people, anyone…..
