‘You Lunatic!’ Americans Horrified After Trump Tweets ‘The Only Good Democrat is a Dead Democrat’ Video

Donald Trump was apparently quite impressed with a video featuring Cowboys for Trump founder Couy Griffin declaring that “the only good Democrat is a dead Democrat.” He was so impressed, in fact, that he posted it on Twitter and we’ve included the video below.

Griffin issued the offensive remarks at a New Mexico church as he rallied a crowd to protest stay at home guidelines as the pandemic continues, Mediaite reports.

“I’ve come to a place where I’ve come to a conclusion where the only good Democrat is a dead Democrat,” Griffin said, then adding he meant this in a “political sense,” not a “physical sense.”

In an interview with The Daily Beast, Griffin, a county commissioner in New Mexico, said he realized he should have chosen his words more carefully, but took aim at Democrats again.

“I could’ve chosen a different verbiage, you know. I guess I need to be more careful when I choose the words that I speak,” he said. “But you know it’s just so hypocritical of the left how they’re blowing this up, like I’m some hate speech-murderer.”

Griffin also singled out Democratic governors Ralph Northam (Virginia) and Gretchen Whitmer (Michigan), alleging they may be guilty of treason and deserving of the punishment that comes with it.

“You get to pick your poison: you either go before a firing squad, or you get the end of the rope,” he said.

Comments like that last one are especially worrisome in light of the fact that anti-lockdown protesters in Frankfort, Kentucky, hung an effigy of Democratic governor Andy Beshears with the slogan: Sic Semper Tyrannis — “thus always to tyrants.” The slogan, associated with the death of Julius Caesar, and shouted by John Wilkes Booth after he assassinated Lincoln, has gained popularity among anti-government groups.

Now President Trump is picking up where Griffin and his cronies have left off, taking to Twitter once again and posting the video of the Cowboys for Trump founder in action. By sharing this video he’s implicitly supporting violence in the guise of fighting “fake news.” But for Trump, it’s become entirely clear that the news is only fake if it isn’t describing him in glowing terms.

As you could imagine, Twitter was disgusted. Our country has now lost over 100,000 lives to coronavirus, and Trump is tweeting pure trash:
