Trump Said He Only Visited Bunker for an ‘Inspection’ — Turns Out That’s a Lie, He WAS In Bunker Friday Night

Let’s cast our minds back to the days and months before Trump was elected in November of 2016, specifically the month before, when the Hollywood Access tape was released, and Trump was actually compelled to apologize. He could barely utter the words in the one and only apology that we’ve heard since he’s been in presidential politics, and he did it as a matter of self-preservation. But it was only 2-3 weeks later that Trump was murmuring to friends that “some people think the tape was doctored” and “it didn’t sound like me.”

Trump always finds ways to twist the truth after the fact, no matter how obvious the situation may be. He is also always trying to stay on brand, the tough guy, “strength(!),” and all his other bullshit. All of which is a long introduction to the fact that Trump is going full bunker-truther. He didn’t rush down there in fear, he was mostly going to “inspect it.”

Does he know that these words are heard around the world? Does he even hear himself? Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that over the last five years he could literally say anything and the MAGA heads will believe him. Maybe that has led us to a place where he can say the most absurd stuff and think: “Yeah, yeah, I went down to inspect it, yeah, that’s what I was doing.”

Much more? So it wasn’t totally to do an inspection, just “much more?” He can’t even keep his words straight, never mind his lies straight.

It is painfully obvious that this man cannot deal with having his poor self criticized or “looking weak.” Looking weak might be the one thing he’d fear more than looking poor … maybe not, that’s kind of ridiculous. But it’s right up there and they go hand in hand in many ways, “money,” “strength,” “power,” he’s just so plainly compensating for … oh, maybe tiny hands and short fingers, whining constantly, wearing make-up, a girdle, lift shoes, and being unable to accept any criticism. Just a guess.

It was “much more” an inspection.

And just in from The Washington Post, a confirmation that Trump was indeed in the bunker Friday night:

Trump was rushed to a secure bunker in the White House on Friday evening after a group of protesters hopped over temporary barricades set up near the Treasury Department grounds, according to arrest records and people familiar with the incident.

The security move came after multiple people crossed over fences that had been erected to create a larger barrier around the White House complex around 7 p.m.

Secret Service officers detained at least four protesters, who were charged with unlawful entry at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, according to arrest records. The incident took place near the border between the White House lawn and Treasury Department, about 350 feet from the East Wing, and close to a Treasury fence line that has been at the center of past security failures.

WashPo also mentioned that Melania and Barron were also present Friday night and were moved to the bunker, which is surprising, since no one actually believes Melania lives in the White House with her son.
