Trump’s Favorite Pastor Warns that Democrats Will ‘Bring Out the Guillotines’ if Trump Loses Reelection

Pastor Robert Jeffress is insane. He is the same man who said that Hillary Clinton voters are “going to hell,” (damn, I might as well throw caution into the wind now, my fate is sealed), he has said that Islam and Mormonism are cults from the pits of hell, and we don’t want to get into what he’s said about our LGBTQ family members. We really don’t.

In any other world, he would be a man that one should keep an eye upon – he has a huge audience from his mega-church – but also largely ignore. In our world, he is one of Trump’s favorite “pastors,” and though Trump couldn’t care less about religion or God, or anything spiritual, Trump does like to appease his voters which are disproportionately white evangelical Christians. It is even worse when Jeffress is talking to Lou Dobbs on a fairly prominent platform like Fox News.

Jeffress is working at scaring the ever-living sh*t out of those suburban moms who will play a large role in upcoming elections, those same people that are moving past Trump given all his racism, anger, and idiocy. Jeffress wants those moms to know this is a mistake because if Democrats ever “get power again” in this country, Karen bar the door, the head-hunting will begin, literally. From our buddies at Mediaite:

“That’s the whole point,” Jeffress answered, before culminating his rant with a prediction that liberals or Democrats would undertake a campaign for mass executions if Trump is not re-elected in 2020. “I mean, once the left, if they succeed, they don’t only want to dismantle our current police, they want to replace our current police with the thought police who go around patrolling every thought that they find objectionable. And if the left ever gains control of this country again, I predict it’s going to be like the French Revolution. It’s going to be ‘bring out the guillotines’ and execute every thought they object to and every person who holds every thought that they object to. That is why what happens in November is so crucial. The future of our nation is at stake here.”

Okay, okay, he said execute “every thought.” But the passing “off-hand” talk about guillotines is meant to invoke an image, one of lawlessness and forced behaviors – with executions, he’s just sort of hinting around it.

If he means that we’re not going to tolerate police profiling of black men anymore, essentially “hunting” men due to their skin color, I suppose he’s right. We are going to stamp that out. If he’s talking about laws that suppress the rights of our LGBTQ family, yeah, I suppose he’s right that we’re not going to tolerate that.

Good news. Most Americans are on our side of that fence, the polls are turning, and that’s why people like Jeffress and Dobbs are using increasingly bizarre fear-tactics. It is desperation. But it is dangerous desperation and must be watched. Desperate people are capable of horrific things and his folks, in particular, don’t have a proud history in that regard.
