White House Officials Don’t Want Trump Talking COVID For Fear He’ll Be Stupid and Bring Up Disinfectant Again

So often in this position, we review new stories and end up checking for snark tags, or rereading an article three times to ensure that we read it right the first time. But this is no joke. One of the reasons you haven’t heard Trump – as the friggin’ president of the United States of America discussing the epidemic that has essentially shut down the United States of America, robbed us of jobs, lives, vacations, even our sports –  we haven’t heard from Trump about it because White House advisers are terrified that Trump will make another insane comment about injecting oneself with bleach, doing bleach shots, or new and even worse ideas.

According to Maggie Haberman – New York Times reporter – by way of her appearance on CNN this morning (VIDEO BELOW), and recorded by Rawstory:

“My understanding is that he, according to a number of people, would have been fine with some kind of briefing being held about a month ago by Mike Pence, the vice president, which eventually came last week,” said Haberman. “But there were a couple of people around the president, namely Hope Hicks, Jared Kushner, and Mark Meadows, who prefer that he not do it, for different reasons.”

Yes, and those reasons are?

“Hope Hicks and Jared Kushner are concerned that the president is going to re-do one of those famous performances from the briefing room, whether it was about injecting breach or screaming at reporters,” said Haberman. “And I think Mark Meadows wants to be focused solely on the economy. And to your point, you can talk about it all you want, but that doesn’t mean people are not dealing with the coronavirus. That’s where the country is, it’s going to become more noticeable the longer the president goes without discussing it.”

So they’re concerned he might do something crazier than recommending people inject bleach? It can’t be fear that he’ll yell at reporters because Trump does that just sitting in the oval office. (Ever notice he always sits like he’s on the toilet?). So it can’t be fear of yelling at reporters preventing him. It must be fear that he’ll go into his ideas for cures again, asking whether they got around to testing bleach, or UV light, perhaps something worse.

Yet the MAGA heads see no correlation between the U.S. COVID graph (the one going straight up) and Trump. Something is causing our response to be different than other nations. Maybe the MAGA heads might consider that there is a link between the U.S. problems and the guy leading the country, the one so stupid that White House advisers don’t want speaking about it.

My god.
