George Conway Breaks Down and Calls Trump ‘Racist’ and ‘Evil’ in Video Revealing Racism He Saw Against His Mother as a Child

It has been an eventful weekend for George Conway.

Conway left his post at the Lincoln Project over the weekend to spend more time focusing on his family. The move comes on the heels of Trump apologist Kellyanne Conway’s announcement that she would be leaving the White House at the end of the month, along with a bizarre report from the Today Show that daughter Claudia, all of fifteen years old, announced through a series of tweets that she would be seeking “emancipation.” It was clear to parents everywhere that Claudia was going through an exceedingly difficult period and did not support her mother working for the Trump administration.

On top of all that, now comes a clip from the soon-to-be-released movie “Unfit,” a documentary covering Trump’s psychological and psychiatric conditions that render him unfit to serve as president. The movie focuses sharply on Trump’s narcissism and lack of empathy. The documentary includes clips of George Conway discussing how he came to see “Republican” Trump as both unfit to serve and a danger to the country.

Conway comes from a deeply personal perspective to explain that it is Trump’s racism that makes him so unfit: (Video Below)

My mother came from the Philippines. She came to the United States in the late 1950s. So I’m half Filipino, and the other half is some mixture of Irish, Scottish – you know, I’m classic American mutt.

I think of myself as an American. I just assume people aren’t racist. And I tend to forget that, well, some people are. And that’s sort of the lesson with Trump is. I just gave him the benefit of the doubt.

We are all “mutts.” That is what is meant by being an “American,” though it is obviously much easier to say for some than others. Conway points to a specific point in time when Trump’s racism hit him, when Trump called out “the Squad,” four sitting members of the United States Congress, and told them to “go back.”

But what he said about those members of Congress, It brought back that memory of the one time I really remember, wow, there really are people like that here. I was with my mother when I was a teenager in a parking lot in Massachusetts and somebody said to her, ‘go back to your country.’ It came home to me then. This man is a racist. He is evil.

Conway can be seen tearing up.

Conway could just as easily have mentioned this Trump tweet, but didn’t. We don’t know if the tweet came out after the movie had been filmed, but “moonface” is a racial slur for Asians. Most of us didn’t even know what “moonface” meant, but Trump did:

Evil.
