Jared Kushner met with Kanye West last week in Colorado in a story that is just hitting the media today. The meeting itself calls attention to the obvious, that Kanye is running on Trump’s behalf, to help Trump. But the meeting may lead to some fallout that neither Kushner nor Kanye expects. It may prove that Kushner and team Trump are behind Kanye’s candidacy, and that may prove to be a problem.
West met with Kushner while both were traveling with their families, according to the New York Times. The meeting occurred around the same time as West’s interview with [1]Forbes, in which he criticized Joe Biden and “expressed comfort with the idea of doing damage to the former vice president’s White House chances.”

…the billionaire rap superstar indicated, in an interview by text today, that he was in fact running to siphon votes from the presumptive Democratic nominee, Joe Biden.
Asked about that directly, West said that rather than running for president, he was “walking,” quickly adding that he was “walking . . . to win.”
After the meeting had already been reported, Kanye then said that he would have been willing to meet with the media at any point about his Kushner meeting:
On Tuesday night, West confirmed in a tweet that he did, in fact, meet with Kushner, and suggested that the New York Times should interview him about that meeting directly.
“I’m willing to do a love interview with the New York Time [sic] about my meeting with Jared where we discussed Dr. Claude Anderson’s book Powernomics,” wrote West.
Yes, that sounds like Kanye and Jared, reading and talking about money and the power of money.
Jared has to be careful here. The Kanye West “campaign” is already in court in Wisconsin for submitting allegedly fraudulent signatures on petitions. There is already talk about charging people associated with the West “campaign” with election fraud. If there is enough evidence demonstrating that Kushner himself is behind the Kanye campaign, Jared himself could be held civilly or criminally liable for some of the campaign’s actions. It is highly unlikely that Jared thought that this meeting would get into the media – and yet now it has. IF more and more evidence comes out proving that Kushner is directing Kanye, then charges for election fraud becomes a real possibility. Kushner might want to be a bit more careful.
