Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden and his wife, Jill, have publicly sent condolences to Donald Trump after the death of his brother on Saturday.
When you read these, ask yourselves whether Trump would do the same if the situations were reversed.
“Mr. President, Jill and I are sad to learn of your younger brother Robert’s passing. I know the tremendous pain of losing a loved one — and I know how important family is in moments like these. I hope you know that our prayers are with you all,” Biden posted on Twitter.

Biden running mate Kamala Harris offered condolences as well on Sunday.
Doug and I join the Biden family in sending our deepest condolences and prayers to the entire Trump family during this difficult time. Losing a loved one is never easy but know that we are thinking of you. https://t.co/j9cVKi8b5A [2]

Robert Trump was 71 years old, was Trump’s younger brother and a top executive at the Trump Organization. President Trump visited his brother in the hospital on Friday.
The White House issued a statement from Trump:
“It is with heavy heart I share that my wonderful brother, Robert, peacefully passed away tonight,” the statement said. “He was not just my brother, he was my best friend. He will be greatly missed, but we will meet again. His memory will live on in my heart forever. Robert, I love you. Rest in peace.”
Biden’s post alluded to the deaths of his first wife, Neilia, and infant daughter, Naomi, in a car crash in 1972. His son, Beau, died of brain cancer in May 2015.
Twitter noted just how kind Biden’s message was, and nice is was to see empathy. Knowing that Trump would never do the same in return.
What a presidential thing to do. I don’t think I would have been able to show as much compassion as you have. You GOT my vote. You had it all along

You are a kind, caring and just a real decent man. This is the man I want as President. Respect!

Although Trump does not deserve your condolences this proves your compassion and empathy are your guiding lights. He won't appreciate this but the world sure does.

The way Spanky lies about you and denigrates you constantly, nobody would expect you to post this.
If I wasn't already 1,000% sure that I was voting for you, a guy who has the capacity to show compassionate to his enemy has my vote.
YOU'RE A GOOD GUY, JOE.

Bring back decency, humanity, compassion. We are longing for what links as people, not for what divides us. Class condolence to your competitor.

You know Trump could never muster those kind of words or sentiments. He's a sociopath.

This is how to show empathy. Thank you President Joe Biden. https://t.co/Pfg981L3Og [12]

Joe Biden cares more than Donald does. Trump doesn't care about anyone, except himself, obviously. https://t.co/ObeF31uF0x [14]

Thank you, Mr. Vice President, for showing Americans how adults are suppose to act. Thank you for proving that empathy for and caring about another human being is not a weakness.
I'll be proud to vote for you in November! 😃#ImWiithJoe [16] #RidenWithBiden [17] #BidenHarris2020 [18] https://t.co/AHw7oVfcYU [19]

Joe Biden is a better human being than most of us.
We all know very well that if Joe Biden lost a family member, Trump would not extend the same kindness to him. He'd probably call it a hoax.
Trump stokes hatred & division; Biden inspires kindness & empathy.#BidenHarris2020 [18] https://t.co/Ds0bYTx21X [21]
