Sweaty, Breathless Trump Whines in Ohio That New Lightbulbs Make Him Look Orange, ‘I Don’t Like That Look!’

We have often reported upon the role that “fault” plays in Donald Trump’s life. Who is at “fault,” or at least who gets the blame, is often a very important issue to Trump. This is why whenever Trump discusses the COVID crisis, one of the very first things he’ll say is that it wasn’t “our fault,” or that people lost their jobs and it wasn’t “their fault” and what he means is that he wants you to know COVID isn’t his fault. It doesn’t matter that no one cares how COVID arose any more than anyone cares how a hurricane arose. The test is what one did once one knew.

But Trump can’t talk about that, because Trump wants to brag about the economy. When Trump envisioned running for reelection, he envisioned standing on these podiums talking about the great economy. What to do? It appears, that Trump believes that so long as people agree that COVID isn’t his “fault,” then he gets to pretend that COVID never happened and the economy is still great. (It never was “great” for low-paid workers, as we’re all realizing now).

Try to detect anything in his campaign rally speech (paid for by the U.S. taxpayer as a tour of a production facility) that acknowledges that the economy and his promise on “jobs” is a bit at issue right now given that the economy is shattered. It sounds like a victory lap.

Oh, and did we mention he’s all sweaty and can’t breathe?

“It was an even better job than I told you …” What? He did a better job on the economy than he told us? Apparently he thinks he should be graded at the top of the charts, and not where one stands today?

He is very much against “globalists,” by the way. In case you have a life and can’t define “globalist” in Republicanese, it’s a catch-all term for a person who is cosmopolitan, educated, pluralistic, and progressive, someone who knows that we live on a globe.

We mentioned sweaty and breathing hard, right?

Trump then complained about lightbulbs, because new bulbs make him look orange. This isn’t true. The orange makeup Trump uses is what makes him look orange. Notice no one else complains about looking orange??

It was at about this time that Fox Business said enough with this campaign speech and stopped covering it:

And it wouldn’t be a Trump speech without at least one gaffe. Here’s Trump calling Thailand “Thigh-land.” Normal stuff.

I will leave you with this, Trump trying to mock Joe Biden’s cognitive ability…and then Trump shows he obviously has issues with his own cognitive ability. Pure projection.
