Trump Gets Humiliated by Video Emerging of Him Ripping Obama for Golfing and Issuing Executive Orders

There is always a tweet. We know.

We also know that there is always some video, some kind of speech, some interview somewhere, something demonstrating the depth of Donald Trump’s hypocrisy, and his utter hatred of all things Barack Obama.

We knew that there would be video of some kind of Trump decrying Barack Obama’s use of executive orders, it was a common wail among Republicans when Obama was president. But we didn’t know the video would be so perfect – though we probably should have – that it would include references to not wanting to work (laziness), wanting to get back to his golf game, and a global insult over how much Obama golfed as president.

To set this up, the nation is reeling. We desperately need a second stimulus package. Negotiations have been hung up on whether the federal government should be sending money to bail out states. Republicans say “no,” Democrats want to provide relief money to local government to keep essential services open. States cannot print their own money.

Negotiations have gone on for weeks now but Trump isn’t personally involved. Indeed, Trump has been on vacation far more than in Washington and has golfed – near as we can tell – in seven of the last twelve days. Over the weekend, rather than continue to negotiate, Trump signed several “executive orders,” though no one is positive about which ones are enforceable and which are not. Trump said that he had to sign the executive orders because the Democrats continued to ask for too much.

Obviously, the argument is that Trump overreached with respect to his powers and underreached with respect to the aide needed. Moreover, the whole thing looks like a stunt and that Trump doesn’t want to involve himself in the real work of negotiating and getting a deal done. It looks like he wants to golf. That is what makes this video so perfect:

There is always a tweet, or speech, or interview, or rally …

The good news is that Trump follows the Lincoln Project tweets closely and it is almost guaranteed that he’ll see this and we’ll get a humiliating defensive tweet in response later today.
