Twitter Agrees…That Was One of Trump’s Worst Pressers Ever, ’25th Amendment Now!’
Trump had his worst press conference to date in our opinion and in the opinion of several reporters referenced below. Trump slept through most of his answers, but what words did come out – slurred as they were – were highly dangerous. Trump assumed dictatorial powers to say that checks would be coming out from the treasury, that he was cutting student loan repayments, and that he was going to stop withdrawing social security from paychecks and instead pay it out of the general fund. He doesn’t have such powers but he just assumed them.
Asked how he would pay for Social Security, given that the “general fund” is already running a deficit, Trump said that he would pay for it through growth. These are some of the most dangerous words ever spoken by a president. In short, he believes he has full power over the American government and seeks to use that power in the most dangerous ways possible.
Were that not enough, he also just guaranteed us the most fraudulent election in United States history.
We are also in full Soviet Union, Pravda, “post-truth,” United States of America. Trump “trumpeted” the U.S.’s success with COVID, even though COVID deaths are still rising in the United States, while also calling out Europe as doing poorly. When challenged by a reporter on how he could claim to be doing a good job compared to Europe – where deaths are on the way down, Trump interrupted the question and rejected the facts in a breathlessly cynical and heartbreaking answer:
Q: Deaths are going up in America, but down in Europe, how can you…
Trump: "I call it fake media gold"
Yep, he said that.

This is where we stand now, where facts are cut off in press conferences. We had positive economic growth the last three years and yet we still ran a massive deficit. Now our economy is set to shrink and Trump is talking about funding social security out of the general fund through “growth,” on the eve of a recession-depression.
It was his worst press conference, with the most dangerous proposals he’s ever made.
And he totters off, exuding all the energy of a dead person. That was as bad as it gets.

Oh! And RACISM outright, proud racism:
A moment to behold.
Q: What do you mean by an "invasion" in the suburbs if VP Joe Biden is elected?
President Trump: "They're going to destroy suburbia. And 30 percent of the people in suburbia are minorities. They say 35 percent, but I like to cut it lower."

TRUMP: “30 percent-plus of the people living in suburbia are minorities … the number is even higher — they say 35 — but I like to cut it a little bit lower. You know why? That way I can never get myself in too much trouble with the fake news.” pic.twitter.com/pZVEhxKpFx

Trump is a shell, a complete basket case of mumbly paranoia; Pence in is in hiding; Barr is effectively running the power ministries while Jared oversees the looting and the mass death.
And the GOP is trying to make the case that Joe Biden will be a figurehead.

Asked how he would fund Social Security if he did this, Trump only says he would draw from the general fund because he predicts "tremendous growth." He notes it would need congressional support, which it currently doesn't have. https://t.co/pAIWigseBO

Nothing inspires confidence more than a sullen tired President who seems to struggle to breathe droning on about how everything is amazing during an epidemic and profound economic crisis.

Yes, this one was a Top Ten Bad Trump Presser, a real "faytility" as Trump would say. https://t.co/4Hp7vLgSAZ

It was the worst.
this is painful and embarrassing to watch. 25th Amendment now
— Jeff Tiedrich (@itsJeffTiedrich) August 12, 2020
That's why he won't be reelected.
If social security and medicare are the third rail, he's standing neck deep in water reaching for it. https://t.co/4IeDTuLNeR

We need every American to understand that he’s destroying Social Security and Medicare.
Another notable thing is that the earlier COVID pressers were fairly kinetic, a lot of surprises. Always something new. Crazy but new. These are remarkably similar. Often reading the identical words. All amounting to saying for an hour or so I'm great and things are great.

This was Trump’s worst press conference when factoring in his health, his presentation, the ideas lobbed, and assumptions made. It is time to start spreading the word that Trump has dramatically increased the dangers this country now faces, making us sicker and bankrupt.
