Biden Finally Goes There and Comments on Trump ‘Stumbling Down Ramps’, ‘Watch How I Run Up Ramps…’
We have never had two men in their 70s running for president before. The presidency is a hard enough job on a younger man, it just hasn’t been something that older Americans sought out. Thus it is that this race is different, with both candidates’ surrogates taking shots at each other’s ability to even physically do the job and Trump actively mocking Biden’s ability.
Up until now, Biden absorbed a lot of Trump punishment without allowing himself personally to get down in the mud. Joe watched the entire Trump family comment on his demeanor. They said that Biden suffers from dementia (this is perhaps the MAGAs main argument against Biden, one hears it over and over, “he’s senile”) and Joe didn’t really punch back, never commented on Trump’s issues Trump’s odd physical problems, Trump’s mental health, and Trump’s emotional immaturity. Biden just left it all alone and let others make the case.
Until yesterday.
Yesterday, after hearing that Trump said Biden has “lost a step,” Biden finally went there and shot back, directly contrasting himself to Trump.
Biden to @abc27News on Trump and his campaign's suggestion he's "lost a step"
"Look at how [Trump] steps and look at how I step. Watch how I run up ramps and how he stumbles down ramps, okay?" pic.twitter.com/7eJdXm0DKn

Whoa. Biden knows exactly how to press Trump’s buttons because he went directly at the one incident that bothered Trump the most, the video of Trump hobbling down the ramp at West Point. Trump spent a week talking about that one incident, insisting the ramp was like an ice rink, that it was steep, everyone remembers. Trump clearly knew that the video was damning.
Biden then assured everyone he was in great health:
Biden went to say that it's a "legitimate question" to ask both candidates about their health
"I'm a great respecter of fate, I realize anything can happen to anybody at any age, any time. But I promise you I would not be running unless I was in very good health." pic.twitter.com/Qjjgl4BN68

Some Americans loved it, while the MAGAs won’t believe the pictures right in front of their faces. Below we have a selection of back and forths from Biden supporters and some MAGA heads sprinkled in.
Man oh man he so totally knows how pics like this get under trumps skin.

And here’s a MAGA head response, very typical of them:
Seriously!! Wait til the uN-debate. Biden won’t be able to answer one serious question from Chrus Wallace. Plus he already has that old man shuffle. There’s a technical name for it that escapes me

Show me any video of trump getting his heart rate about 120 that doesn’t involve his pants being off. pic.twitter.com/Rf06YEZGDa

As you can see, Americans talked right past each other:
Trump can ride a bike it’s a bike this is stupid mentally challenged people can ride a bike my grandma who was 89 when she died could ride a bike what does this have to do with cognitive ability

Feisty!
I love it!— Arizona (@EuphorbiaZ) September 7, 2020
unlike trump, Biden is healthy and active, not a stroke victim nor a drug addict. Oh, maybe that can be trump's new slogan: "I may have had a stroke but I can still play golf at your expense. And my dealer has a better supply than yours."

And we’ll finish with a hopeless MAGA, demonstrating just how … hopeless some people are:
does he understand metaphors? Or is that gone?
Does he realize the presidency isn't a physical job and we've even had a paraplegic president?

Yeah, right.
