Melania’s New Rose Garden Already Having Major Problems Less Than 3 Weeks After Unveiling

You, of course, likely recall that Melania Trump determined that the Rose Garden designed and established by Jackie Kennedy needed a major renovation because there’s nothing in the White House that can survive Melania’s tasteless eye for decoration. This is the woman who brought us plain, solid-red, Christmas trees, because of course, she did. And this is the same woman who refused to move into the White House until the Obama bathroom had undergone complete renovations to Melania’s specifications.

We have noted before – and boy do we hear about it from Trumpers – Melania is a spoiled little brat who sees herself as having one job, looking out for Melania.

Now the Rose Garden needs major work because it’s had real difficulties after the renovation. Who could have guessed? According to CNN:

The garden is experiencing “issues with water drainage” and “some minor complications with updated construction,” a source with knowledge of the garden troubles told CNN. New sod is also being laid down.

“Minor complications” seldom make the news. Water drainage is often THE problem with gardens, and not necessarily easy to fix.

The “minor complications” may well explain why Trump had the press conference out in front of the White House yesterday – a first.

President Donald Trump on Monday held a news conference on the North Portico, an unusual outdoor location, but the source notes hosting press in seats at the Rose Garden “would not be doable” in the iconic garden’s current status. Trump has also had to motorcade to Andrews Air Force Base of late, again preventing media from seeing the construction in the Rose Garden in recent days.

WHOA! Trump drove so that no one saw the Rose Garden? Yeah, we’re positive these are just “minor” complications. This sounds more like a response to people hating it.

The first lady’s renovation followed the guidelines from the garden’s original 1962 layout — but the update was largely panned by critics for looking substantially altered. Most discussed was the removal of 10 crabapple trees. The trees, which over the years had been replaced and were not the Kennedy-era originals, were transported to a National Park Service facility for care.

Right. Like we said, a response to it sucking.

Nice job, Mel.
