Michael Cohen: Trump Said Stormy Daniels Payoff Was a lot ‘Less Than I Would Have to Pay Melania’

Michael Cohen’s tell-all book was released today and as you could imagine, it is causing a small firestorm. Including this little tidbit: When Cohen had President Donald Trump sign the infamous $130,000 hush-money checks to adult film star Stormy Daniels, Trump referred to the checks as “pocket change,” The Wall Street Journal reports.

At one point Trump told Cohen that “$130,000 is a lot less than I would have to pay Melania,” Raw Story reports. Trump apparently thought his supporters might “think it’s cool that I slept with an adult-film star,” if they found out about his extra-marital fling with Daniels, Trump’s former lawyer writes.

And in 2018, when news about Daniels broke, it “caused a shitstorm of biblical proportions, even by Trump presidency standards,” Cohen notes in his book Disloyal: A Memoir, the WSJ notes, having reviewed a copy.

The book is full of incidents that are now sadly all-too-familiar because Trump is such a misogynist. Cohen remembers watching Trump allegedly “corner pretty women in his office and forcibly kiss them as they recoiled.” In some instances, he even grabbed the women by their cheeks and pulled them close. The WSJ notes several women have accused Trump of misconduct, something he’s denied repeatedly.

Trump, who once owned the Miss Universe pageant, at one point described the contestants as “the finest pieces of ass from every state and country,” Cohen wrote, and then recounted Trump’s disturbing behavior towards his own 15-year-old daughter, Samantha, who was playing tennis at the time, at Trump’s Bedminster, New Jersey golf club in 2012.

“Look at that piece of ass…I would love some of that,” Trump said.

Cohen reminded his boss that he was referring to his daughter, and writes that Trump responded: “When did she get so hot?”

Yup. Sounds like something Trump would say. It’s just another reminded that our current president is a misogynistic creep. But then hasn’t he been reminding us of this since day one?
