Sarah Huckabee Sanders Said People Shouldn’t Care About Whether Trump Will Concede, He’s Going to Win Anyway

Former White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders [1] said Thursday President Donald Trump isn’t planning to transfer power peacefully because he believes he will win the election, according to Yahoo! News. [2] And Trump himself, during a Wednesday presser, refused to say he would transfer power peacefully if he loses, NBC News [3] reports.

“We’re going to have to see what happens,” Trump said. “You know that I have been complaining very strongly about the ballots. And the ballots are a disaster. Get rid of the ballots and you’ll have a very peaceful — there won’t be a transfer, frankly. There’ll be a continuation.”

So during an appearance on Fox News, Sanders was asked about Trump’s remarks.

“I think the president feels like many Americans — that it’s not going to matter, because he’s going to win on Election Day,” Sanders replied. “And he’ll be serving another four years, so I don’t think he expects to need to have any type of transfer of power.”

Sanders also said many Americans “will question that final result” because more people are using mail-in ballots. The next topic of conversation was the upcoming debate, and that led Huckabee Sanders to attack the media.

“I think if Joe Biden doesn’t fall asleep on stage, the media will declare him the winner regardless of how well the president does.”

Trump has made it clear more than once that he plans to be a sore loser [4] if Biden wins. He’s attacked Biden every chance he gets by calling him “sleepy Joe” and demanding [5] that he be drug tested before the debates. He’s fear-mongered absurdly that somehow Biden will turn the U.S. into a communist stronghold. Which is nuts because Biden likely had plenty of opportunities to do this while serving under President Barack Obama. Every day Trump is making increasingly bizarre claims while his supporters become increasingly militant.

I don’t think there’s ever been a more important time in the history of this country to vote. I’m sure you’re already aware of this. At least I hope you are.
