Sarah Huckabee Sanders Wants to Be Remembered as ‘Transparent and Honest’: Americans Laugh in Hysterics
The “Sarah Huckabee-Sanders Rehabilitation Tour” continues on as she pops up in the news more frequently now with her eye on her own political future. We were never fans of people who mocked her weight or her southern drawl, it’s needlessly cruel. The fact that Sarah unapologetically stood at the podium lying her conscience off day after day, while carrying herself with a sanctimonious air and attitude, was all anyone needed to chalk her up as just a MAGA-bot. Even more disappointing, she is smart enough to have known better.
The Hill has a report on a statement Sarah made at a conference this last week concerning what she desires as her legacy:
White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said on Tuesday that she hopes to be remembered as being “transparent and honest” when her tenure in the role comes to an end.
“I hope that it will be that I showed up every day and I did the very best job that I could to put forward the president’s message,” as well as “to do the best job that I could to answer questions,”
“To be transparent and honest throughout that process and do everything I could to make America a little better that day than it was the day before,”

Well, that’s the right sentiment.
But she gave the game away when she said that her first priority was to “put forward the president’s message.” If the most important goal is forwarding the president’s message, then one will have to lie and hide because the “president’s message” is often nothing but hiding and lying.
Trump doesn’t believe in government transparency and honesty. He believes in power and he’ll hide anything he believes might hurt him if revealed while lying about the rest.
Sarah’s “goals,” as stated, are correct. But she’s being fundamentally dishonest even now. She knows damned well that her first and only job was to demonstrate loyalty to Trump. Loyalty involves lying or destroying transparency, ask Jeff Sessions, James Comey, Alexander Vindman, and many others.
Her contempt for the press and Democrats probably did come from the heart. It was honest and was definitely transparent. We will give her that. Maybe Trump only asked her to convey the hatred.
She is still a young woman and can do a lot of good in the world should she evolve as a person and open herself up to opposing ideas, but she may as well skip the rehabilitation tour if she’s just offering up some cliches that aren’t going to remove the stench of having served in this administration.
The net had less tolerance for her than we did:

Why in the world would she wish to be remembered differently than how she really was? We can’t re-write history Sarah. You lied & fronted for a con man responsible for great destruction of our country & the very lives of thousands of our citizens. That’s how you’ll be remembered.
