Fox News Passed On Giuliani’s ‘October Surprise’ Biden Smear Attempt Due to Credibility Concerns

Again, who could possibly have seen this coming?

It was almost a year ago when we heard – on tape – Trump talking to the Ukrainian Prime Minister about needing a favor regarding an announcement of an investigation into Biden’s son. Recall, Trump never said that they had to DO an investigation, that didn’t seem to be the point, Trump just wanted an announcement of an investigation. Hunter was to be the target because … because people like Joe! And if they hate Hunter enough, maybe they’ll figure Joe must be an ass.

This last summer, we read through the New York Times that the CIA reported to the DNI that the Russians were working on computer-related manipulation of our election, and our DNI “suppressed the report” – meaning it never got to Trump, which is just as well since he would’ve thrown it in the can. (Though he could be held criminally liable).

Where have we heard this whole story before, a laptop, found in mid-October? It contains some weird shit on it? It seems to maybe implicate some serious criminal stuff? And it all came from two guys that the CIA said specifically “Do NOT trust either one because they are both functioning as Russian agents.”

Now from Mediaite, even FOX NEWS wouldn’t touch Trump’s “October Surprise!”

With the general election just three weeks away, Giuliani ultimately brought the story to the New York Post, which shares the same owner, Rupert Murdoch. The tabloid has been exhaustively covering the contents of the laptop — which include everything from emails regarding Hunter Biden’s work for a Ukrainian company to personal photos of the recovering addict — with each morsel being amplified in the conservative media world, including on Fox News’ top-rated opinion programs. Thus far, the Fox’s News division has only been able to verify one email from the tranche leaked.

Oh, it gets worse, this is as close as Fox News gets to calling a story “bullsh*t.”

Some of Fox News’ top news anchors and reporters have distanced themselves from the story. During an on-air report that largely focused on how social media platforms handled this story, Bret Baier said, “Let’s say, just not sugarcoat it. The whole thing is sketchy.”

And Chris Wallace, aka “the only semi-serious one” had this to say:

Chris Wallace also called the story “suspicious” and said, “I can understand the concern about this story. It is completely unverified and frankly, Rudy Giuliani is not the most reliable source anymore. I hate to say that, but it’s just true.”

We think that Chris Wallace means that it hurts him to say that Rudy – once “America’s mayor” is now a crazed fcking lunatic and can’t be trusted, much more so than “we wish we could rely upon him.”

But you know your “October Surprise” sucks when A) It wasn’a a surprise, B) It relied on Rudy, C) Fox won’t air it.

Sounds about right for our gang that can’t shoot straight.
