Ivanka Trump Gets Called Out for Bragging About the Privileged Way She’s Been Spending the Pandemic
If people were expecting Ivanka Trump to do anything meaningful while the pandemic continues, welp, she didn’t. Because that’s not who this daddy’s girl is. She’s a vapid, self-serving corporate lackey who probably doesn’t give a fig if anyone’s suffering unless it affects her in some way.
Instead, Indy100 reports Ivanka Trump and her family have “reconnected to some of life’s simple pleasures” while the pandemic continues.
“For a lot of us during this pandemic, we’ve reconnected to some of life’s simple pleasures — board games, for example,” she said. “We’ve dusted off all of ours for sure.”
She’s even picked up a musical instrument.
“I took up playing guitar because my husband was working very late nights… I taught myself or am teaching myself how to play guitar.”

It’s nice that she’s able to do this smack in the middle of a pandemic that’s sickening and killing people by the thousands daily. After all, she’s got the frickin’ money to do whatever she wants. Meanwhile, those of us with compromised immune systems worry whenever some Trump-supporting fool who’s not wearing a mask sneezes next to us. That’s not the only bad news. The Commonwealth Fund estimates as many as 7.7 million Americans have lost their jobs, and along with that, their ESI (employer-sponsored insurance). That’s as of June 2020.

So while Ivanka plays Parcheesi with her family, way too many Americans are trying to figure out how to keep from losing everything, including their lives. And some are taking exception with her tone-deafness here.
Take a look:
That’s nice @IvankaTrump

imagine having the confidence to hold a microphone in your hands so your long-ish manicured fingernails and callous-free fingertips are clearly visible and telling everybody, despite this clear evidence to the contrary, that you are learning to play guitar https://t.co/woSsGhI8rl

Oh cool. While millions of Americans are jobless & facing eviction, Senior White House Adviser @IvankaTrump has time to pursue hobbies. It really is astonishing how clueless & tone deaf she is. https://t.co/tvfouotni8

I learned how to apply for multiple jobs each day in between teaching first and sixth grade at home while watching our savings dwindle. So, the same. https://t.co/fSDU2o51w6
