Joe Biden’s World Series Ad is Breaking the Internet, and Shows Why He Might Just Win in a Landslide

One of the defining characteristics of Donald Trump is that Donald Trump only leads the people who favor Donald Trump. He has never reached out to an opponent or rival, never sought to bring everyone together. It is hard not to think back to that rubble pile in New York after 9-11, watching a president that we didn’t vote for and didn’t really like. Bush’s first inclination was to bring the nation together, including the nation’s Muslims – this wouldn’t divide us, this would unite us. 9-11 wouldn’t weaken us, it would strengthen us.

This memory should haunt us. We are in the midst of a slow-rolling 9-11 and instead of unity, we’re divided. In the next day or two, we will pass 225,000 dead Americans, or just exactly about where some predicted we’d be by election day. COVID is spiking again, yet another “wave,” only this one is bigger – we’re getting close to 60,000 cases per day again, hospitals are filling up again. This “wave” is less geographical than it is “everywhere,” but to the extent it’s geographical, it’s bad news – northern states like Wisconsin (rally central), Minnesota, (along with N.D., S.D., Montana, etc. It looks like we’re in for a tough winter.

A slow-rolling 9-11. We need the president on the pile of rubble, telling us that it will be okay, that Americans unite and fight this, it can’t beat us. We cannot have a president wanting to talk about arresting his opponent, and “Hunter” right now. We need a president talking about being Americans right now, we need one that can rally us together, not just “at” a rally talking about his own greatness.

Do we even need to tell you which candidate ran this ad last night during the World Series? Hint: It talks about America’s greatness as a united nation:

I cannot think of a more beautiful, more “Joe” closing message. “We don’t need everyone to agree on Joe Biden, we just need everyone to agree in America.” Trump is incapable of such unity. On the day before the election, he’ll be running ads about spying on his campaign, about Hunter, about the media – he’ll be busy dividing America, during our slow rolling 9-11.

That is why he’ll lose. During the World Series, still “America’s Game,” Joe Biden went with a commercial believing in America, believing we’ll get through it, but only if we’re one, only if we’re “Americans,” and not Trumpers, versus Democrats. Joe is the guy on the pile, saying follow me, it’s going to be okay.
