Kayleigh McEnany Has Coronavirus and Reporters are BEYOND Angry, ‘I Felt Safer Reporting in North Korea!’
The White House is getting one hell of a lesson in the contagiousness of the COVID virus.
Speculation on the net is that patient zero had to have been someone at the Amy Coney Barrett nomination. That event occurred outside, and there was an inside private gathering as well.
Because it is Trump’s White House, very few wore masks because the pandemic is over to them, or at least over with respect to “important people” who can test for it.
The event has decimated the Republicans, Trump, Melania, Hope, Tillis, Kellyanne, Lee, Christie, and now Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany.
That’s a lot of people, and a lot of important people.

We do not know the number of people that attended the event, nor do we know the number that wore masks, or how many people came to the event infected with the virus or will up infected.
All we know is this. That event was nothing compared to the super-spreader events that Trump has been hosting throughout the country for the last 2-3 weeks. We do hope that Trump recovers from COVID – as we hope all do – but it should be noted that the fact that Trump got COVID, along with many of his staff, might well have saved lives. That is a remarkable thing to say and yet it nearly HAS to be true.
How many “rallies” are not occurring this week or next week because Trump is laid up in the hospital? Seeing how quickly the virus spreads and how seriously it can impact a man in his 70s (and others, too), how many people who would have happily shown up at a Trump rally without a mask, to cheer on their hero, will now have to do it alone in front of the TV and never get the virus, never go to the ICU, never die alone – they all die alone, it’s the nature of this disease, people die alone.
How many deaths did we avoid? We will never know. We only know that the number is surely more than one, and Trump always says “One is too many.” We agree. But think about this, somewhere out there, somewhere probably in Wisconsin, or Pennsylvania, there’s probably an older gentleman, right now, healthy – who will never know that but for the fact that Trump got COVID, he would be living out his last couple days.
It is sad. Perhaps only now the White House is learning about what life is like outside a compound with daily testing (and even that didn’t work).
Reporters are absolutely LIVID:
Kayleigh McEnany has repeatedly spoken to reporters without a mask on. She has recklessly endangered lives. https://t.co/BKnrD1AWRn

After Hope Hicks tested positive, Kayleigh McEnany was pulled off President Trump’s trip to New Jersey and later informed she’d had direct contact with Hicks. Yet McEnany did not quarantine and was at the White House Friday and yesterday, citing multiple negative tests.

The ramifications are bad. Even though there isn't a high likelihood of contracting the virus outside at a bit of a distance, some reporters will have to quarantine. It upends the entire workflow of the White House press corps at a time when coverage has never been more critical.

Don't forget the WH press office routinely invited reporters from Trump-friendly outlets, incl OANN, Gateway Pundit and Epoch Times, into the briefing room in violation of an agreement with the WHCA to strictly limit crowding.

I felt safer reporting in North Korea than I currently do reporting at The White House. This is just crazy.

No choice but to conclude that seven months into this they're actually all just too stupid, collectively to understand "incubation period," "test sensitivity" and "test specificity"

How many maskless briefings did you do, exactly?? https://t.co/5VSjNMNoPj

McEnany says she has tested positive despite "experiencing no symptoms."
This is exactly why the administraiton's own public health experts urge people to wear face masks as much as possible — a recommendation McEnany and other members of her staff have flouted repeatedly. https://t.co/r1CEmDX0NO
