Kirstie Alley has disappointingly turned out to be another rabid supporter of President Donald Trump and is claiming his rival Joe Biden has made “pretty constant” racial slurs.
Appearing Monday night on Sean Hannity’s Fox News program, Alley derided criticism of her tweet on Saturday, where she declared she is voting for Trump, The Daily Mail [1] reports. She also claimed Biden might be a racist.
“When your gaffes are constantly — when he said, ‘you ain’t Black if you’re not voting for me’ and you know these constant gaffes that have these actual racist overtones…And I’m like ‘no, you maybe get one where you accidentally said something inappropriate but it’s pretty constant.”
“I mean, it is constant, isn’t it?” she said.
Alley was referencing a May interview [2] that turned tense at times, between Biden and radio host Charlamagne tha God. Biden faced considerable heat after he said this:
“Well, I’ll tell you what. If you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t Black.”
Since then, Biden has apologized several times, adding “I shouldn’t have said that.”
He also faced criticism in August after saying the African-American community isn’t diverse. Which is definitely a foolish thing to say. For context, he said this:
“Unlike the African-American community, with notable exceptions, the Latino community is an incredibly diverse with incredibly different attitudes about different things,” he said in pre-recorded remarks for the National Association of Black Journalists and the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.
He hasn’t however, called Latinos “bad hombres.” Nor has Biden thrown gasoline on racial unrest in the U.S. like Trump has, [3] so there’s that. But Alley is a privileged Trump supporter and she has no understanding of the things that might be important to people of color.
Alley, who’s also a devout follower of Scientology, is catching her own heat after tweeting her support for Trump because she somehow believes he “gets things done quickly and he will turn the economy around quickly.”
You know, kind of like he turned that border wall around quickly (he hasn’t managed it yet.) And also how he turned the pandemic around quickly (by basically sitting on his hands, resulting [4] in the deaths of more than 226,000 Americans). Those kinds of things.
Anyway, here’s her dumb tweet below, followed by some funny and well-deserved responses.
I’m voting for @realDonaldTrump [5] because he’s NOT a politician. I voted for him 4 years ago for this reason and shall vote for him again for this reason. He gets things done quickly and he will turn the economy around quickly. There you have it folks there you have it🙄

You also are eyeballs deep into Scientology. Seems like maybe you like a lot of Kool-aid.

This is no movie set. All those people who died of Covid are REALLY DEAD. They had families, friends, real loved ones. It's time for this horrible experiment to END, and an adult to take over!#BidenHarris2020 [9]

The same way he turned the economy around quickly after 2017? (Which he did, actually… from a relatively successful economy to one that's threatening to turn America into a banana republic.)

Some notable celebrities also weighed in to diss Alley.
Shelly Long was way funnier than you. https://t.co/tksxTX0yiM [13]

Well my vote for Biden canceled yours out. I have done my civic duty of the day.

So, @kirstiealley [16] joined others on the island of disgruntled former celebrities where Donald Trump is the king. Let them fly their freak flag. Who cares? Certainly not the public.
It is what it is.

Kirstie Alley’s tweet screamed “I can’t read! I don’t watch the news! Black Lives Don’t Matter! My body, your choice! and Pussies wear masks! And sexuality is a preference!” But all I can think about is how 87% of the people on here will have to google who she is. pic.twitter.com/RMd7iafjzx [18]

I would call for all us to cancel Kirstie Alley but that would require us all going to thrift stores to find VHS copies of “Look Who’s Talking” and then burning them. https://t.co/pQNUUZR9sw [20]

Should you need more reasons for a good laugh, here’s her interview with Hannity.
