The White House late Saturday night released a pair of photos of President Donald Trump working at Walter Reed Medical Center, where he is currently being treated for COVID-19, in part, with Remdesivir.
In one photo, Trump is working at a table in his conference room. The other photo is taken in the presidential suite, where he filmed a video earlier in the night.
Dr. Sean Conley, the president’s physician, said in a memorandum released by the White House earlier in the night, “The plan for tomorrow is to continue observation in between doses of Remdesivir, closely monitoring his clinical status while fully supporting his conduct of Presidential duties.”
The photos show Trump working away, signing important documents as a president is wont to do.
But people on Twitter noticed something strange about the paper that Trump was signing.
Let’s take a look…Here’s the full photo:

Now let’s zoom in a bit and what do we see?

Well, according to people on Twitter, that’s a black piece of paper. Which means Trump isn’t signing a damn thing, he’s just doing a photo op.
White House reporter Andrew Feinberg was one of the first people to spot it:

Feinberg noticed it seemed to be the same paper that was in the video Trump released earlier in the evening:

Twitter had a field day:
To reassure America that he's "working" Trump releases a photo of himself…
Signing a completely blank sheet of paper.
(I won't believe that's him "working" unless the WH tells me he was going to send it to Putin, to fill out the details.) https://t.co/Nmt9x8A9s0 [6]

Nothing to see here. Just @realDonaldTrump [1] wandering from room to room in various states of dress signing blank pieces of paper while risking the life of at least one photographer.
All perfectly normal. https://t.co/vIkVyVhUIs [10]

So Trump was able to sign blank pieces of paper for a full 10 minutes tonight? https://t.co/eGVPjuQ9wA [12]

Next time you’re kicking out propaganda, don’t shoot so high res. You can see he’s literally just writing with a sharpie in the middle of a blank piece of paper in the second one. https://t.co/wX2N7J0ekE [14]
