Trump Says You Must Vote for Him Because Otherwise Politics Will be ‘Boring’
At a rally in Erie, Pennsylvania, President Donald Trump claimed that he makes politics “exciting” and then urged his audience not to vote for Joe Biden because he’s “boring.”
For Trump, this was a departure from his usual habit of either referring to Biden as “sleepy Joe” or “Gonzo Joe,” but he took time to tell his audience that there will be bad news if Biden wins, The Daily Mail reports.
“This is an election between a Trump super recovery and a Biden depression,” he told his audience. “You will have a depression the likes of which you have never seen.”
But wait, wait for it…there’s that reference. I should have known it would be in there somewhere:
“If you want depression, doom, and despair, vote for Sleepy Joe! And boredom,” he said in summation.
Like many one-hit wonders, Trump rarely has an original thought, and after wrapping that up with “nobody’s going to be interested in politics anymore,” he returned to another favorite topic: Hillary Clinton, blaming her for a glitch that occurred during the rally. His microphone briefly shut off and he tapped it for a few seconds until it came back on.
“Is the mic ready? Yes. I wonder who did that to our mic,” Trump quipped as a joke. “I don’t believe it was Joe. You know who it was, Crooked Hillary. I think it was probably Crooked Hillary.”
Trump and Biden will be facing-off once again during the next debate Thursday in Nashville, Tennessee. The second debate, originally set up as a town hall event scheduled to happen in Miami, Florida last week, was scrapped after Trump refused to participate in a virtual representation of the event.
The president also used the opportunity to slam 60 Minutes after he walked out in the middle of an interview because he apparently took offense at journalist Lesley Stahl’s questions.
“I am pleased to inform you that, for the sake of accuracy in reporting, I am considering posting my interview with Lesley Stahl of 60 Minutes, PRIOR TO AIRTIME!” he tweeted Tuesday in his typical shouty fashion. “This will be done so that everybody can get a glimpse of what a FAKE and BIASED interview is all about. Everyone should compare this terrible Electoral Intrusion with the recent interviews of Sleepy Joe Biden.”
I don’t know what he means by “Electoral Intrusion,” but I believe the only “terrible Electoral Intrusion” occurred when the Electoral College handed him the presidency in 2016.

And this is probably why Trump was stumping in Pennsylvania. It’s a swing state that holds 20 Electoral College votes, meaning it’s influential, being only second to Florida, which holds 29 of these votes. And that means now is not the time to forego voting.
Consider this a wake up call.
